City with a dated shopping centre and lots of restaurants but not much more. Cathedral and grounds, museum and Cathedral Square well worth visiting. Lots of old buildings but lots of rubbish, streets were grubby and littered!

Peterborough came across as poor and unloved.
Peterborough came across as poor and unloved.
I walked through the centre of town on a Wednesday night around 10:30 and did not feel safe - not normally affected like this.
There are groups of homeless people around the town, not necessarily bothering people but they need support and shouldn’t be left to roam the streets. Far more homeless here than anywhere I visited recently.
This was a work visit, I would not visit for pleasure

Beautiful cathedral, nice new shopping centre. The rest of the town a bit run down, many homeless people....
We should have gone for a curry instead of having dinner at the bull....

Car park at the back of hotel convenient, too, but not easy to find

Peterborough not the best city in the world, but a few shops to mooch about it, and plenty of places to eat and drink. Mum and I took a trip to the cinema. Was nice. This hotel IS NOT in the town centre. Its a little drive. But that is what we wanted.

Cathedral area well worth a visit.
Cathedral area well worth a visit.
Nene Park area lovely with good flat walking and nice refreshments available. Excellent pitch n putt course.
Nene valley railway station at Peterborough worth a visit to eco garden area.
Plus train trips.
Flag fen on outskirts is definitely worth a look, really interesting and a nice walk too.
Like all cities there are some less charming areas! But some good cafes in town, Gossip good coffee and Fratellis in Rivergate for coffee and breakfast. Oh and East on the river for Asian fusion food and to sit in a boat!
It was spacious, comfortable, lovely & clean. It had everything I needed, fridge, microwave, kettle, plates, bowls, cutlery, glasses, mugs & tea, coffee & milk. Easy accessible & it was pet friendly. Lovely friendly host, who even upgraded me to a twin room & lovely breakfast. Really enjoyed my stay, will definitely be going back when I’m in the area again. Great location too, being so close to Peterborough Town Centre
Very friendly staff, since I do not like living on the upper floors, and the administrator very quickly solved this problem: she changed my room to a lower floor.
Very comfortable mattress, I slept well. The very center of the city, near the train station, restaurants and much more. The price is three times lower than the same hotels in this area.
The price was great for 1 nights stay. The hotel was very quiet - only 2 people sat having breakfast. The Car Park was of an average size (We arrived at 9am and they were happy for me to leave the car whilst in London and check in later). Location to City Centre is great only a (15min) walk and Peterborough Utd Ground (2min) walk.
My fiance and I booked in when we were in Peterborough...we would go there again n again. My fiance fell in love with the rooms, very clean and smell nice, veeeery comfortable bed, interior design on point,..I would give a 10/10.We felt like we were on honeymoon vacation somewhere very expensive.
Good value for money, we chose the Pearl Hotel because it was by far the cheapest available in the area. It wasn't the most luxurious place, but for the price we paid we really can't complain. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was fantastic in the current heatwave.
The location of the hotel is just on the outskirts of the city of Peterborough. Quite quiet area which was good. Plenty of secure parking. The room was fine, just in need of a spruce up, which could be said for the whole hotel.
the breakfast on the 1st morning was good. The Spa facilities were also decent and our daughter enjoyed them. parking was simple and right outside hotel. the setting of the hotel and the gardens are stunning.
This was a brilliant place to stay near to Peterborough city centre. The kitchenette was really useful. All was clean and bed comfortable. Would fully recommend. Even had a TESCO express across the road.
Great hotel. Friendly staff. Rooms were clean and tidy with comfy beds. Only had breakfast but that was fantastic for food juices tea coffee etc. Taxi service was good. All in all will use again.
I love the location of the hotel, the room was lovely and clean, the staff are very friendly and nothing is a problem like some places I’ve stayed in. Highly recommend this hotel in Peterborough
This hotel is perfectly situated for the East of England Showground where we were attending Truckfest. The young lady at reception who checked us in was very friendly and helpful.
