Partially within the Peak District, Sheffield is best known for being the setting of ‘The Full Monty’, a film whose title means the whole works. Indeed, vibrant Sheffield has the whole works - excellent shopping, great nightlife and an impressive sporting heritage.
It first came to fame during the Industrial Revolution for its pioneering role in the UK steel industry. One technique invented here is commemorated in the name of its most famous theatre – The Crucible, home of the Snooker World Championships.
Close by are the peaceful Winter Gardens with their multi-arched roof. The Peace Gardens are overlooked by the elegant town hall, and the focal building of the impressive Botanical Gardens somewhat resembles Crystal Palace, also by the same architect.
The city’s 2 football teams – Sheffield United and Wednesday – play at Bramall Lane and Hillsborough Stadium respectively. The cutting-edge English Institute of Sport is also based here, and the nearby Sheffield Arena is a prime UK venue for music and entertainment. The best shopping is found in the Meadowhall Centre near Rotherham.
Booking.com’s Sheffield accommodation includes city centre hotels with parking, others by Victoria Train Station, and guest houses near Doncaster Sheffield Robin Hood Airport.

Would have liked to explore medical park nr hotel
An excellent Italian Restaurant - very good food
The buildings, both those which appear to have been built at the height of the town's link to steel production, and the large new tall buildings have, mostly been complementary in style.

Sheffield is one of my favourite cities in the UK.
Sheffield is one of my favourite cities in the UK. I frequently visit to watch the famous World Championship Snooker at the Crucible (wonderful theatre), to visit friends and there are endless activities for both day time and night life!

There is no aircon in the rooms.
There is no aircon in the rooms.
The rooms are a claustrophobic worse nightmare.
A really weird layout.
Parking is over priced and restricted with no guarantee that you’ll have a space if you go out and come back.
The room floor gets wet after a shower and as it isn’t carpet stays wet unless you use your towel.
All of the staff were very friendly and polite.

Sheffield is a brilliant place for a short visit.
Sheffield is a brilliant place for a short visit. There's so much to do. It's a vibrant city with something for everyone – gigs, arts, countryside, shopping, people-watching. Very friendly to visitors. Plenty of trams and buses makes car-free travel easy. If you are travelling by car, allow plenty of time because it can get busy at peak periods. There is plenty of safe parking (try Qpark) but it's not cheap.
First time I'd been to a show at the City Hall, and I'm really impressed by the venue. Look up at the painted ceilings. Very comfortable seats, and excellent views of the stage.

One thing that could be improved but not really a major thing would be a walk in wet room mainly for disabilities as i suffer with nerve damage in the base of my back and servear rhumatiod artheritis in both knees caused from 8 years service and 3 tours with the brittish army
Hotel is centrally located and within easy walk of public transport and city centre amenities. Rooms are quiet with little noise heard externally or internally.
Facilities are basic but standard across all Easy properties (I’ve stayed in a few). Space is limited but it is fine for one or two nights, especially if you’re not wanting to spend a long time in the room. Shower is hot and powerful (I’ve stayed in hotels where I’ve payed much more and had a worse shower). Staff were friendly and helpful.
Set in a commercial part of Sheffield really although we found one nice pub and nice Indian restaurant just 5 mins walk away. But there’s nothing else really. About a 10 min walk up steep hill to find central shops. Hotel reception was very slow on our check in on a Tuesday afternoon!!?? Only one staff member on… very long wait in the heat. Room was lovely and view from 7th floor brilliant. Breakfast was COVID safe and delicious!!!
The hotel is close to West Street but far enough to not hear the noises of nightlife. The hotel is managed by a church community which I didn't even realise before booking. The room was tidy and I got an okay sleep even though the bed wasn't the comfiest. I was really pleased that I was able to leave my bag after check out. They have a spare room dedicated to your luggage which is kept locked.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The en-suite shower-room was excellent. Breakfast was good, with a great variety of cooked and prepared dishes. The hotel site was pleasant and reasonably quiet, and looked welcoming. The Botanic Gardens are nearby and buses run to the city centre. Most of Sheffield can be reached on foot but it can be quite a long walk, with significant gradients.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming hotel right in the heart of Sheffield. Our room was spacious and perfectly accommodated our family, providing comfort and convenience throughout our stay. The breakfast offered a delightful start to our day with a variety of tasty options. Additionally, the hotel's pool was a pleasant highlight—spacious and inviting.
Excellent location in Sheffield city centre, very quiet at night so you can sleep. Tram stop just outside the door to take you to the arena. Communication from the host was excellent, I was worried about the length of time it might take to get the deposit refunded but this was returned with an hour of me providing bank details. Apartment is clean and very secure.
hotel was fine for a 2 night stay while we visited sheffield city centre , we knew there was no tea making facilities in the room so we took our own !! it is a budget hotel and does what it says on the tin , the shower was nice and hot and powerful and overall we where happy enough !! the food outlets where abundant within a 10 minute stroll.
Really friendly staff who are eager to help. Good size rooms with comfy beds. Great selection for breakfast. Pool is a good size and location of hotel is in walking distance to city centre, with loads of restaurants to choose from. Also Sheffield is so close to the beautiful Peak District.
Travelled with grown up daughter, two double bedrooms ideal and much better value than hotel.
Good value safe parking.
Beautiful apartment, spotlessly clean.
Everything we needed for breakfast.
We were very impressed.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and in perfect location for seeing Sheffield being in the city centre. the quality of the food at the hotel was very good and cooked very well.
Parking was convenient and relatively cheap even without the discount. The hotel is in a reasonably good location as it is only a short walk to the city centre. The breakfast was enjoyable and cooked well.
Handy for visiting my daughter at Sheffield University.
Reasonably priced. Coffee and pastry provided in the morning.
Free parking for hotel customers.
Good communal areas, clean and tidy.
The hotel was easy to find and the car parking was convenient. The food in the bar was excellent and breakfast was also very good. It was centrally placed to explore the city centre
