Inside the rooms exhibit amazing modern design flare and attention to detail while referencing the history of the city. Great location and run by a lovely family who are warm, welcoming and efficient while also having a great sense of humour. Could not recommend highly enough.

You can feel as if you are alone there. The restaurant food is good and the staff are friendly and helpful. The room was cozy and comfortable with everything you might need. The hotel is located exactly at the main square and a lot of parking options were available on the street, which is really practical if you are arriving at Saturday evening.

The Hotel Restaurant Staussen is a hidden gem. Exceptional value for money. We stayed for one night and also reserved a table for our evening meal in the restaurant too. Our room was immaculately clean and so comfortable. We enjoyed our meal in the very busy and popular restaurant. I’d recommend reserving your table. Breakfast was a buffet - help yourself to breads, cheeses, ham, delicious yoghurts, fruit, eggs, juices, tea, coffee. perfect to start our day. A perfect, good value, overnight stop, if touring the romantic road.

There was adequate off road private parking and the charge point for our EV was easily accessed (charging cost paid directly to the hotel). There was a lot of choice at breakfast.

The hotel is perfectly located on the Romantic Road cycle route - you don’t have to look for it. Bike storage was excellent. Our bikes were locked up inside a garage. Plus points for us was tesla charger included in cost, we are a family of vegetarians and vegans and we're well catered for. Ate in restaurant for 3 meals, all excellent with great service. We opted for a balcony room for one of us which was amazing with views of neuschwanstein Castle and the lake and mountains. 2 other rooms were without the view but were large and comfortable.

My husband and I were searching for the perfect spot to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and Helmerhof was a delightful discovery that went beyond our expectations. The location! 🤩 The hotel is located up the hill in Hopfen am See, a stunning place in the Allgäu region with breathtaking views all around, most of all of Schloss Neuschwanstein which can be seen from a distance. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful at all times, the apartment was spacious and the food was exceptional (organic and locally grown) - fantastic breakfast buffet and a delicious choice of freshly cooked dishes every evening. The pool area is spacious and welcoming and there are free aquagym courses on offer.
