Excellent bed and bathroom. The storage facility was poor, a few hangers but not in a closet. Virtually no drawer space. I had a large suitcase and this could only be stored vertically. Clothes such as socks jumpers shirts had virtually nowhere to be stored. It was OK for me as a singleton but for a couple staying 6 days it is not adequate. Breakfast good served efficiently.

The Queens Hotel is an Edwardian building just 5 minutes walk from the beach and sits opposite Southsea Common.

The Hotel is in itself old but the character of the place is lovely. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the building. The room was spotless. The breakfast and evening meals were very good and choice was excellent in the food menu. The bed for me was a little soft but but I slept soundly. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is near to all the facilities you would wish to visit in Portsmouth .

Arrived at 23.00 hrs, no problem for the night receptionist Chris , we checked in quickly and went to our room for a good nights sleep. The room was large and really nice, quiet and very clean. Up at 06.00, showered and down for breakfast. Wow what a wonderful breakfast it was. Not only delicious but the ingredients and everything about the food exceptionally nice. It was so good that I even mentioned how much we had enjoyed breakfast to. Jim and Janet Smith

This Holiday Inn Express hotel is just off the A27, with easy access to Portsmouth, the M27 and the A3(M). The hotel is 4 miles from Portsmouth Port. Mary Rose Museum is 3.7 miles from the property.

Location close to the beach front. They let me keep my bicycle in my room. Shared toilet and shower was immaculate at all times. The house keeper and lady who checked me in were so nice and friendly.

Located close to Fratton and around 5 minutes' drive from Portsmouth city centre, Ibis Budget Portsmouth is just 6 minutes’ drive from Southsea beach.

Very easy checkin. Friendly staff. Super pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. A really excellent breakfast. I like the location. It is easy to find, there is plenty of parking and Hayling Island is a pleasant place for walking and bike riding.
