The location, the hosts, the laid back area of Frangokastello and the walk to the local supermarket to buy supplies. We used this hotel as our base as we explored the southern side of Crete. The restaurant is located onsite and we had dinner there on our first day and enjoyed local Cretan food. We would have loved to eat there more, but we were so busy travelling around to Lake Kournas, Palace of Phaistos, Souda beach and the nearby castle. The owners were very helpful and kind. It's a local experience and we loved staying here.

A super comfortable house, with all the necessary equipment. Very nice and helpful owner. For our arrival, a delicious dinner was prepared by the owner's wife, along with wine and breakfast items which was very nice because we arrived on a Sunday when all shops were closed. A cot with a blanket and a highchair were prepared for the baby. All equipment and the house are new and clean. Very comfortable beds, bathrobes, slippers and clean towels. Beautiful view from every window and from the infinity pool. There are beautiful beaches nearby. Just a few hundred meters from the house there is a great restaurant with delicious local products and seafood. We had everything on site and didn't have to go far.
