Our stay in this beautiful suite in Crete was a joy from start to finish! The owner, an epitome of Cretan warmth and generosity, effortlessly turned our visit into a wonderful experience. The suite was impeccably clean, surprisingly spacious and unbelievably comfortable. To top it all, we were delighted with a complimentary upgrade, an unforgettable gesture that speaks volumes of the owner's hospitality. She even assisted us with our travel arrangements on our last day, assuring we made it to our ferry in time. In short, this is not just a place to stay, it's a delightful experience. It's about a home away from home, a place where the heart of Crete shines brightly through its amazing host. Highly recommended and looking forward to our return!

We stayed at the Sol suite of Avra Maris for 5 days (June 20–24) and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I traveled to Sitia with my partner and we found the property very easily. Despite our late arrival (almost 11 p.m.), we were warmly welcomed by a smiling, polite hostess who kindly answered all our questions. The Sol suite was very spacious, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a truly comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfy, the kitchen was fully equipped and also had dishwasher / waching maching (they proved to be very handy), the hydromassage shower was perfect for relaxing after a day out, and our pool was spotless and the water refreshing and crystal clear — which really impressed us, especially when Maria, the hostess, informed us that we could enjoy the pool even during the night. Avra Maris has the perfect location: right next to the sea, just a 2-minute walk from an organized beach and less than 5 minutes from Sitia’s seafront promenade. There, you’ll find lovely taverns serving Cretan delicacies, cozy raki spots, and charming little shops. Although so close to Sitia's seafront promenade, we enjoyed a very calm stay. Sitia is not just a summer getaway. It’s a place that stays in your heart — with its authenticity, the warmth of its people, and a calming charm that’s hard to forget. We’ll carry it with us, always. Great place to stay. Sea View room wonderful. Room clean and very comfortable. Location excellent. We visited in the winter when the rooftop wasn’t open so will have to come again and experience that but it looks amazing! All the staff friendly and extremely helpful, lovely continental breakfast to start the day. We will come back for sure!
