This was a real highlight of our trip and we wish we could have stayed longer! First the area and Ryokan are gorgeous, completely picturesque! Staff are attentive and friendly and make a real effort in English! The food and the rooms were top notch! My wife and I had the best time. Thank you to all the staff who work hard to make Sakaeya what it is! We slept like a baby thanks to the food and onsen and truly hope to be able to come back. Also many thanks for the surprise gift to celebrate our honeymoon

Totaly awesome staff - 2 guys who speak little bit english, but they are amazing and kind (of course all staff was great)! Everything was fine, dinner and breakfast were rich and everybody could choose his style. Room was cosy and onsens were relaxing. We really enjoyed our time here!!!!! We advise to everybody who wants to feel real Japan!🥰

Food and hotel staff service are awesome. Shuttle available to/from train station and to/from Snow Monkey Park. Bathroom in room might need some update. But overall very nice stay! Both private and public onsen are nice and clean. Public one is not crowded at all.
