First of all the staff is very friendly. It’s a nice new hotel, well decorated, with tatami mats around the property. So you can just wear socks (even provided). The onsen facilities are very nice. Which for us the main reason to visit the hotel. It’s nice that at certain time of day they provide free snacks or even ramen in the evening.

The owners were extremely kind and accommodating, and very knowledgeable about caring for dogs. The room was spacious and the grounds were perfect for someone traveling with a dog. It is right down the road from Yuzawa so you're near all of the most popular ski attractions.

The onsen was amazing, after a day of skiing and relaxing to nice hot bath was the cherry on top. The locals were friendly and the staff were helpful.

The hotel has great vibe. Very calming and relaxing. The onsen is private so we really appreciated that. The quality of the mineral water is exceptional. One of the best we've experienced in Japan. But the star of the show has to be the food. The food was way up and beyond. Savoring the delicious meal while enjoying the flute session was a great experience.
