Hotel Tombouctou is located in a historic Kasbah, or fort, that has been lovingly restored. The main building is expansive and features traditional decoration including rugs, antique doors and a beautiful collection or artwork. Entirely made of adobe, guests feel more inside a palace than a hotel. The rooms are located on various levels around the central courtyard and are simple and well appointed with every required amenity. There is a beautiful pool outside the main building with a restaurant located in a berber tent overlooking the pool. Breakfast and dinner are served here and both are fresh and excellent. Breakfast is buffet style with a wide and delicious choice of options, including made to order pancakes and eggs. Dinner features well executed and succulent traditional dishes. There is an included closed parking garage across the street for your convenience. The hotel is close to the old medina and oasis which can be reached on foot (10 mn walk -go at dusk when it comes alive). The staff are very friendly and attentive and went out of their way to help us and point us in the right direction.

Perfect hotel for the price we paid. Nice pool and location. Staff was great, especially the young Guy at réception. Food was good as was breakfast. Don't expect great luxury. Good airco, Nice pool.

Fantastic setting High up above Todra Gorge, snow capped this trip, but have been to this place before with my children, who swam in the pool! Hosts were generous and friendly, just as I remembered from last visit. stayed up for my late arrival, had the fire going and brought me soup and tea, very thoughtful. Stunning riad! We met a wonderful soft-spoken man who helped us get settled and provided us with everything we needed. We used this riad as a midpoint while driving to the Sahara and it was absolutely perfect. We were also served a great breakfast to get our next day started! Would absolutely recommend!
