I was contacted before I arrived with details on how best to find the guesthouse on arrival. I was arriving early but was available for me to self check in then go out to explore. Was given easy directions to find the castle which didn't take long. Amazing communication. I got a taxi up from the bus station which wasn't very expensive . It was very hot so was glad if the taxi. 45 minutes to walk up the hill from bus station.Beautiful views from the communal sitting area, private balcony was great for having a coffee on. Breakfast was at the time I requested and had plenty to eat. I was going back to Tirana and the host kindly packed up some of my breakfast for my journey.

Kerculla Resort is located at the top of Gjirokastra, 16 km from Antigona, 52 km from Saranda, 65 km from Butrinti and 36 km from Syri i Kaltër ( Blue Eye ) ! Everything! Views were amazing!!! 😄 so worth the price and the drive up!

Nice traditional design elements in an otherwise very modern and comfortable room. The old town is a short (and steep) walk away. We enjoyed the walk and it was nice not having to drive through the narrow cobblestone streets.
