Situated in Ishigaki Island, 400 metres from Fusaki Beach, Little Mermaid Hotel Ishigakijima features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. It is the cutest hotel. They have sweet little animals to welcome guests inside. The staff is amazing, especially Reika. She went out of her way to make us feel very welcome. The rooms are very much beach style with Japanese amenities including a heated bathroom floor and full size fridge. The beach is a beautiful 5 minute walk away. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the shower had amazing hot water with great pressure.

The service was incredibly friendly and helpful. You can choose whether or not to have your room cleaned, and if you skip housekeeping, you receive a valuable voucher that can be used at the hotel’s restaurants and shops. The restaurants were good, and our favorite was the Asian fusion restaurant. Both the pools and the beach were very well maintained, and we really enjoyed sunbathing and swimming. The gym was more than sufficient, and we used it several times. The spa and massages were absolutely heavenly!
