Solana Apartments is in the heart of authentic Kenya in Watamu and is just exceptional. We will definitely be going back next year if we can make a reservation as it is already booking up fast. Kathryn and the staff team made sure from the minute we arrived to the minute we left that we had everything we needed and organized us with a regular Tuk Tuk driver and taxi driver to get to the airport. Kathryn and our Tuk Tuk driver, Omar also made great recommendations for things to do and places to visit whilst in Watamu. Our apartment was just perfect, we visit Africa regularly (first time to Kenya) and this is the best accomodation we have stayed in. Authentically Kenyan in decor and furnishings. The bathroom was rustic and traditional African and immaculate. It was 32° on average during our stay so the air conditioning in both bedrooms and the fans in all the rooms were much needed and kept the apartment perfectly cool. The kitchen had everything needed and it was great to be able to do a combination of self catering and eating.out. The staff are the best thing about Solana Apartments. Everyone was so welcoming even taking the time to teach us some Swahili and were so appreciative when we tried to learn. Breakfast was included in the price and was lovely. After the first day, as part of our. Breakfast experience the staff cooked traditional Swahili breakfast items for us to try which were all delicious and then we chose this every day. The breakfast was ample and really set you up for the day. Our apartment was cleaned daily, again to an exceptional standard. Although an apartment there were staff there all day and a security guard at night. We felt safe at all times and the staff all went out of their way to help in any way they could.

Watamu Beach Cottages se encuentra en Watamu, a pocos pasos de Playa de Garoda, y ofrece alojamiento con piscina al aire libre, parking privado gratis, jardín y salón de uso común. Un hotel excelente, la playa que tiene es la mejor de Watamu. Además de que es muy salvaje y se puede pasear al ser extensa, en temporada alta es un oasis para huir de la multitud. El hotel es precioso por el entorno, las cabañas, las zonas comunes (2 rooftops con increíbles vistas, mesa de ping-pong, restaurante, piscina, varias hamacas en zonas altas para ver las vistas del mar…). También ofrecen servicio de masaje y tienen un diving center. El personal hace que la estancia sea mejor. Benjamin y Purity estarán pendientes de que no te falte nada. Te ponen en contacto con un tuc tuc o taxi si quieres ir a otras zonas, si necesitas recomendaciones, muy flexibles con el check in y check out… Impresiona la limpieza que mantienen aun siendo un entorno tan natural. Todos los días limpian, por la tarden colocan las mosquiteras… Cada cabaña tiene cocina completa, con todo el menaje que necesitas, pero su restaurante ofrece desayunos/comidas/cenas con muy buena relación calidad precio y riquísimo. Éramos un grupo de 14 personas, cogimos varias cabañas y a destacar la villa para 6 personas que tiene un salón-comedor perfecto para reuniones y comidas cuando vas un grupo más grande.
