The staff: Peter, Gideon, Juma and Patrick at reception were courteous, fulfilled all our wishes and communicated very well with the relevant departments. We immediately felt at home. As I am vegan, it is a bit difficult for me here in Kenya to always choose something from the menu. The waiter Dena was very courteous, understanding, helpful and very knowledgeable. He went through the menu with me every day and always gave me very good advice so that the chef could cook it. Employees like him should be encouraged and appreciated more. Waiter Robert always gave us something to laugh about at the bar and the drinks were very good. No headaches the next day, he was a pleasure to work with. Many thanks to Sofia from the breakfast service, she always had a smile on her face and sweetened our day so we could start the day well. Margaret's pancakes are a must at Medina Palms, they are delicious. Mercy, our housekeeping queen. She wowed us every day with new room decorations Always very lovingly done now I can say I have always slept on cloud nine at Medina Palms. Thank you, Queen Mercy. An appeal to the management of Medina Palms staff to show more encouragement and appreciation the facilities and location are not worth 5 stars for me. The heart of Medina Palms is the staff. Offering a spa and wellness centre, 2 pools surrounded by palm trees, Hemingways Watamu is located on the beachfront of Watamu. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and free WiFi. Loved the room and the bathroom. It was spotless! I need my bathroom super clean so I was so satisfied when I saw it was exactly like the picture. Having sea view was superb too. I just sat on the balcony and enjoyed the ocean view.

Distant Relatives Ecolodge and Backpackers ligt aan de Kilifi Creek, op slechts 3 km buiten de stad en wordt omgeven door een gemeenschappelijk bos. A very nice accommodation with everything you could need a bit far from the town but I believe this is what make one of the best. You can walk along the kilifi Creek to town thanks to the hostel having access to it, a very nice walk indeed. Highly recommend it.
