Featuring a garden and views of garden, Mailagama Cinnamon Residence is a recently renovated guest house set in Kataragama, 21 km from Situlpawwa. This was our second visit to Mailagama Cinnamon Residence and we were truly happy to see again the owners of the hotel, Indira and her husband. The hotel is located in a picturesque place among green rice fields. We loved walking around the area - there are large lakes nearby, and there are few people around, but an incredible number of peacocks. A real kingdom of peacocks. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony with a great view. There was also a big shared terrace to work online or to do yoga. The fans helped to cope with the heat, which was important for us. We really liked the Srilankan food at the hotel - delicious and served with great elegance. Manager Inbaraj was always attentive and helped us with any questions. On his advice, we visited two temples - Rock Temple where you can see dozens of funny monkeys and Kataragama Maha Devalaya. Both places are interesting and atmospheric, especially the latter, which is famous for its festivals throughout the country. We hope to come back here next year to see the beauty of the nature and to feel the special friendly atmosphere.

With pool views, Tranquil Wild is located in Tanamalwila and has a restaurant, room service, snack bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. All we needed was just relax and take same rest in the quiet place after long way on motorbike and we received exactly this. Staff was very nice, professional, and the food was good. There is a swimming pool and beautiful garden where you can see a lot of animals. Room is also very well equipped.

The room was very comfortable, clean, well equipped and well maintained. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were delightful, extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely return.

The host was very nice and waited for me to let me check in (at 23:30) and also provided the help for arranging a tuktuk out of Monaragala town. The resort was the perfect overnight stay for myself to relax and continue my travels. Good breakfast and very helpful people, comfortable rooms.

Okrin Hotel is located in Kataragama, 13 km from the popular Yala National Park. This well-appointed accommodation features an outdoor swimming pool, free Wi-Fi access and a beautiful outdoor terrace.... Loved it... I have booked two normal rooms there and after a day they shifted us to the bigger one due to my kids. 😊 Both girls (receptionist)are very helpful and kitchen staff is also very good. Anusha's service is also nice.
