This was our second visit to Mailagama Cinnamon Residence and we were truly happy to see again the owners of the hotel, Indira and her husband. The hotel is located in a picturesque place among green rice fields. We loved walking around the area - there are large lakes nearby, and there are few people around, but an incredible number of peacocks. A real kingdom of peacocks. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony with a great view. There was also a big shared terrace to work online or to do yoga. The fans helped to cope with the heat, which was important for us. We really liked the Srilankan food at the hotel - delicious and served with great elegance. Manager Inbaraj was always attentive and helped us with any questions. On his advice, we visited two temples - Rock Temple where you can see dozens of funny monkeys and Kataragama Maha Devalaya. Both places are interesting and atmospheric, especially the latter, which is famous for its festivals throughout the country. We hope to come back here next year to see the beauty of the nature and to feel the special friendly atmosphere.

The room was very comfortable, clean, well equipped and well maintained. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were delightful, extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely return.

After a long day of travelling from Colombo to Monaragala i arrived late at night at the Grand Pearl Resort. The host was very nice and waited for me to let me check in (at 23:30) and also provided the help for arranging a tuktuk out of Monaragala town. The resort was the perfect overnight stay for myself to relax and continue my travels. Good breakfast and very helpful people, comfortable rooms.

The owner and staff are incredibly supportive and friendly, and the place is spotless. Highly recommend!

El Okrin Hotel está situado en Kataragama, a 13 km del famoso parque nacional de Yala. The staff was excellent and always helpful, making the stay enjoyable. The location offered great value for money. The rooms were clean and equipped with cable channels, adding to the comfort. The food was delicious, and the room service was exceptionally attentive. Overall, I can confidently say I’ll visit this place again.

El Mandara Resort está situado en el sur de Sri Lanka, a unos 37 km del parque nacional Yala. Es un buen hotel en comparación al resto que he visto en Sri Lanka, las habitaciones son grandes y la piscina esta muy bien. El gimnasio es bastante completo para un entrenamiento. No teníamos safari reservado y nada más llegar al hotel pedimos ayuda en recepción y ellos mismos nos gestionaron un safari al día siguiente de manera muy fácil, te recogen en el mismo hotel y te dejan de nuevo. El buffet de desayuno es muy completo, merece la pena
