There were some complementary snacks: sugar-glazed almonds and two cartons with fruit juice. The apartment was large, spotlessly clean and had everything (a fully equipped kitchen, bathrobes (which were very om point, considering the fact the weather was very cold for the end of May, and it was a bit chilly in the evenings), a fridge with a freezer, a hair drier etc.) The neighbourhood is very safe (well, Urk IS a very safe city in general), there are two bakeries, a supermarket, a sweets store and a slaughter shop next door. The beach is a few minutes away by foot.

Ibis Styles Almere in Almere features 3-star accommodation with a fitness centre and a bar. A very quiet and cozy place, with a very comfortable king-size bed. You can make coffee or tea in the room, and the bathroom was also clean. The staff was very nice and courteous.

Indoor parking for my bike. 5-Star Care: I'm very thankful that Tessa kept the bike panniers I left behind in my rush, and shipped their contents to me. That alone should rate de Sternhof as exceptional
