The bathroom was spacious with a separate large jet tub. The bed was fabulous and entire room spacious. There was even an outdoor patio. This was an unexpected pleasure. The room was spotless and seemed brand new. Great location just a few minutes walk to cafes and restaurants fronting the lake. Christine and Dave were friendly and helpful. This is an exceptional accommodation.

Just 5 minutes’ walk from Turangi town centre, Creel Lodge is a 4.5-star Qualmark rated motel offering self-contained suites with a private patio and BBQ facilities. A pleasant surprise. A bit out of the center in a good way. Still within walking distance of a supermarket and some restaurants. Access to the river was great. Spacious room. Full kitchen, well-equipped overall. A lodge-like feel. Quiet.

Offering panoramic views of Lake Taupo, the luxurious self catering apartments at Baycrest Thermal Lodge feature free Wi-Fi and satellite TV. The shores of Lake Taupo are only 100 meters away. Great location, a short drive to the central part of town. Our room had a lake view, which you can enjoy from a covered and heated balcony, which gives it a plus if you go in winter. The room itself was really comfortable and every detail was well thought out. The spa pool was divine and the place was an oasis to relax. I'll definitely stay there again.

Featuring inner courtyard views, The Homestead features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 41 km from Orakei Korako Cave and Thermal Park. The Homestead is a jewel. Everything is just perfect and the host Kahu an incredibly nice and lovely lady who takes so much care of the house and the surrounding. Amazing!! We loved it.

Best place I stayed in all of New Zealand!! Sandra is incredibly kind and helpful. Riverstone was a great base to wait out the weather to hike the tongariro crossing. The place itself is super clean and cozy, and has a nice patio to enjoy the sun and a well equipped kitchen.

Set in Turangi, 47 km from Taranaki Falls, The Redbarn offers accommodation with a hot tub. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 47 km from Mount Ruapehu. The owner was very friendly and met us as we pulled up. The heating was already on and we enjoyed the local history in the guest folder.

The Chalet itself is beautiful, located in a quiet scenic area just outside of Taupo. Nina was a wonderful host, attended to our every need and had great recommendations. Breakfast was full, cook to order and everything fresh.
