We visited Åre for a week to ski in early April. The hosts were very flexible with the arrival time and communication was easy. The apartment was clean, comfortable and the kitchen was well equiped for home cooked meals. Remember to bring your own linens but you can also rent them from the host. MårtenLiens Gård is a walking distance away from the VM8 ski lift but unfortunately for us, there was no snow in the valley so we coudn't ski-in/ski-out. It is also a walking distance away from the the town with all the shops and restaurants. We had a rental car so having a car park was great.

Storlien Högfjällshotell AB heeft een tuin, een terras, een restaurant en een bar in Storlien. It was an amazing old building with heaps of character and intriguing decor. The rooms were great and the beds extremely comfortable, breakfast was good and extensive and above all, the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Vålådalens Fjällstation ligt op 100 meter van de skiliften naar het skigebied van Vålådalen en op 50 meter van de langlaufloipes. Beautiful location with wonderful staff and great service. I will most definitely visit again.

Renfjällsgården bevindt zich in Edsåsdalen, op 21 km van Åre Train Station, en biedt gratis fietsen, rookvrije kamers, gratis WiFi en een gedeelde lounge. It was located in a nice location and near Åre. It was clean and fresh. Good for cosy and quality family time if you have limited budget or don't want to spend a lot of time in front of hotel TV's or on the phone (no internet in rooms).
