Visited as a surprise gift for my girlfriend. We celebrated her birthday sooner, as she leaves abroad for longer time. It was a perfect stay. Staff was extremely friendly and prepared a celebration gift for us in a form of prosecco. Extremely nice gesture that was nicely appreciated. The hotel itself is cozy, only few floors with a decent amount of rooms. The breakfast is small but it is sufficient and included fresh herbal teas, jams and fresh honeycomb that you could just take and eat (Awesome). Hotel also has a wellness area with steam room, relaxation room, sauna and outdoor natural pool. It was exactly what you expect from the place after a whole day of hiking in the nearby mountains. What we loved the most is the spectacular view from the room, which overlooked the valley. That was something we have never seen before and we already visited a fair amount of 4-5 star hotels around Austria. I would recommend this hotel for everyone who is on a lookout for a cozy small hotel with friendly staff and wants to feel the calmness of the Alps.

Very friendly and helpful personell. We travelled as a family with our 5 year old son. We went there for hicking and I got from the reception the best recommendation on where to go. The hotel is clean, modern, quiet, with a personal touch in every room. The breakfast had everything we wanted and a cozy atmosphere. Also the restaurant in the evening was a pleasure. It is situatued right in the center of Großarl, which makes it very easy to either go for a hike right there or take the bus. I would come back again, any season.

I have traveled the world, and I can easily say this was one of the nicest stays in my life! I was visiting Grossarl from Vienna for a long weekend to hike the alps and relax at the spa. Not only were the location and facilities absolutely beautiful, clean, and cozy, the staff was so attentive and professional. Everything felt like a dream- from being greeted with a welcome sekt to a lovely note with my name on it and complimentary chocolates in the room, to allowing a late check out and sending me off with a small gift of their own homemade smoked salt, everything was just perfect. I was treated so well by such friendly people. The dinners were an absolute highlight- each dish was brilliantly crafted and presented, and the taste almost made me cry. I have been telling my family and friends about Grossarlhof, and will continue to spread the word- my favorite hotel I've ever stayed in!

We were absolutely satisfied, enjoyed the stay. The room was comfortable, spacious and the food was excellent. The staff was really nice, polite and friendly. The wellness area was pleastn and clean. We appreciated the possibility of making tea :-) We would definitelly recomend this place and are planning to come back. :-)

Wonderful facilities, particularly the swimming pools and sauna area, separate adults-only sauna area. Delicious and extensive breakfast buffet, high quality 4-course evening meal for only €20 extra, fantastic value, particularly the gala dinner. Location very close to lifts and ski shops - we used the ski depot at the lift station which was very conveniently located (next to the excellent Rambazambar) Friendly and efficient staff in restaurant and at reception, immaculately clean rooms and public areas. Non-skiers in the group enjoyed the daily (free) activities, including yoga and hikes. Skiers enjoyed the local Grossarl-Dorfgastein ski area, and easy 15 minute bus links to Alpendorf and Bad Hofgastein

    We are family from Poland. This year we decided to spend holidays in Austria. The most important thing was to find quiet, comfortable and good located place with mountain view. We have found everything at Appartement Josef in Großarl. The Appartement was fully equipped. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We will come back for sure!

    We liked everything. Accommodation perfectly met our expectations. Although it is advertised that it can accommodate up to 8 people, we were travelling in group of 4, which was perfect. Everything was exceptionally clean. Two full bathrooms are great when travelling with a group. Wonderful terrace to enjoy coffee outside. Area 5 minutes walking distance for a walks with a dog.

    The apartment was very clean and well equipped. The living room and the bedroom had a balcony with outdoor furniture from where we could enjoy the view. The host was very sympathetic and kind. I would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

    I'm glad that I had opportunity of spending my winter holiday in Bauernhof Klausbauer. The apartament was cozy, warm and comfortable enough. The kitchen has a good equipment, everything what you can need you'll find there. The ski bus stop is literally next to the house, so we hadn't to use our car. Host family is very kind, smily and friendly. Thank you very much once again for your help! :)
