The host has provided everything that is needed for a short stay. The property clean, the beds comfortable, thick towels, good fridge and although we didn’t cook anything there were adequate dishes provided. The tv was a smart one with good reception. The room was well lit with plenty of sunshine and although it was an extremely hot night Kyneton cooled down quickly allowing us to have a wonderful sleep as the location was quiet. Next time , we will stay more nights and take the opportunity to have a walk along the river before breakfast. Thank you Kirsten for all your efforts to make our stay exceptionally good.😊

Great value for money, the accommodation has had an impressive makeover, while the rooms are basic, the beds are new and so comfy. The shared facilities were spotless; modern and well catered for with shampoo / coditioner and soap dispensers. Fresh towells provided each day along with bottled water - a great touch.

The accommodation is situated within the hosts’ own home and purpose-built as a self-contained unit (bedroom, bathroom and living room) adjacent to their own living. The unit is extremely comfortable and beautifully clean and with a very comfortable bed. The kitchenette was filled with delicious treats; the breakfast included home-made jams and the best stewed fruits we’ve ever tasted! The bathroom was equipped with extremely generous toiletries. Our hosts have two wonderful cats - Chiffon and Taffeta - who were full of personality and were the icing on the cake. The home has a rural setting but is two minutes drive from Trentham town. The unit is comprehensively equipped for guests. Our hosts Mike and Sylvia, have a long hospitality background and had thought of everything - we lacked for nothing. Mike and Sylvia are two of the most friendly and engaging people we have met - and we have travelled a lot.

I stayed for one night so I could revisit Hanging Rock and participate at Campaspe parkrun the following day. I really enjoyed my stay. Islay house is about 5-10 mins walk from Woodend station. Very close to the town centre and right across the road from Campaspe parkrun. I was made to feel very welcome. Tarni and Clive are really nice and friendly and I really enjoyed their company. I was especially grateful to Tarni for offering to take me to the rock and picking me up later. I didn't expect it. Not many people would do that. It was such a nice gesture, and I really appreciated it. The property is really clean and comfortable. In fact, I had the best night's sleep throughout my time in Australia when I stayed here. The blue room was a lovely room to stay in, spotless and spacious. I had a good breakfast the following morning at a time, which suited me. I could have easily stayed for longer, and I do hope to go back again at some point. I was very happy with my decision to come here. It was perfect for what I was looking for and if you're planning to visit woodend, this is the place to come. Highly recommended!!

Lovely clean cottage in a central location with excellent heating. Safe off street parking and enjoyable breakfast. Hosts provided clear instructions and were very accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

Good location. Lovely to stroll along the river which is a couple of minutes from the property. Easy walk up to lovely Piper Street. Kirsten is a very thoughtful host, and keen to make your stay enjoyable.

We stayed in Room No.1 on the ground floor and it was very spacious and cozy and quiet. The bed was extra comfy (King) and the bed linen was super soft. The location is perfect to walk to various cafes/bars/restaurants/shops. Including a hidden Winery around the corner (Musk Winery). Yvonne was super easy to deal with and very flexible as we changed our accommodation to the bigger room. Highly recommended for a weekend stay.

The communication with owners, owners went above & beyond to assist my request, the cleanliness of accommodation, the details to extras, toiletries, fresh milk & cookies to have with a cuppa during stay, the mints and soft drinks. Will definately recommend & return. Walking distance to shops.
