Owners worked very hard to satisfy us, food was excellent, rooms were large, lots of blankets and a nice countryside smell. You get so much more for such a small price. We had a nice steam bath and the view of the canyon is unique and absolutely breathtaking.

Wonderful mountain lodge with so much to offer. The yoga studio and spa offer beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and are a perfect place to stretch and reset after your adventures. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was delicious and plentiful. I only stayed one night while doing the Quilotoa loop, but you could easily stay longer and enjoy the spa and surrounding area more.

This was a lovely stay. Just outside of town, but we loved it. Shower gets really hot which is super! WiFi is good too. Views are incredible. Food was delicious and the family are so lovely. Glad we stayed here 😊

    The host is very kind and helpful. She did her best to make us feel comfortable and happy. There’s several board games and a nice fireplace to rest by after a long hike. Also the food was very delicious and the portions so big that we couldn’t finish. We loved the atmosphere so much that we stayed another day. Also the women there runs the place by herself which is pretty cool and something to support.

    Lovely property and lovely hosts. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and we arranged to have a packed lunch for our third day of hiking for just $3 which was also decent. The hostel has some basic gym equipment and a yoga area too along with a sauna which were all great facilities. Would highly recommend staying here! 😊

    If you are looking for more than a comfy bed and a hot shower, this is the place for you. Maria and her family made us feel very much at home. They even dried our shoes and cloth. Her cooking was delicious. Almost like a home stay.

    I do like absolutely everything about this hostal it is 10/10 without any doubts.i couldnt imagine better welcoming and staying.Walter Maria and the whole family are just exceptional they will accomodate you to a very high standarde and make you feel like a family member.beds pillows are super comfy and douve and 2 blankets keeps you warm on a chilly nights.breakfast and dinner included in price which make the value even better and local food is just delicious.will definitely come back.mucias gracias walter y Maria hasta luego🤗🤗🤗

    Perfect place to stay while on the Quilotoa loop walk - or as a base to explore the area from here. Very good value for money, everything was working (WiFi, hot water, etc) the sauna and steam room are great after a long day hiking! Food was great too and staff very welcoming and friendly.

    The hostel is very well located on the trail to quilotoa and it is a great place to stay after a day of hiking! The owners are very nice and helpful (they told me exactly where the path was for the following day). The dinner and breakfast were both delicious and the whole place is very cozy :) I highly recommend!

    We loved our stay at Dona Clarita. The accommodation was super clean, comfortable and had everything we could possibly want. But the best thing about our stay was the care and enthusiasm from the family who own the hostal. From the moment we arrived we felt part of the family and felt really well cared for.

    I stayed in this hostel for a single night when doing the Quilotoa Loop. It is run by a super welcoming and friendly family. They treated me with free coffee, tea, and banana cake all day long. The dinner was a delicious 3-course menu that filled me up. The breakfast was equally amazing, and they even offered me a free lunch package. This was one of the best accommodation experiences I’ve had recently, especially for the price. I highly recommend it! 👍
