One huge plus is that you really don’t need a birding tour if you stay here, we saw so many beautiful tropical birds and even had a few coatis scurry in front of our cabin. It is set in 150 hectares of beautiful primary forest with trails to walk within. We ate a delicious home cooked meal there on our first night and breakfast was equally good. We walked trails within the reserve and saw monkeys, toucans and lots of other lovely birds. Our accommodation was beautiful, made from locally sourced natural resources. For two nights the room next to us was empty so it was very quiet. The accomodation was very clean and the terrace had a beautiful view, we could see a lot of birds. To walk to the centre it was just 10 minutes. For two people the room was big enough, for three people it would have been a bit small. Thank you to the staff for making the change and no extra cost. The second rooms were very comfortable with lovely bathrooms. I would have given a higher ratings if we had not been initially assigned to such small spaces they would’ve been impossible for us to use.
