It is very rarely when I decide to leave a rating on the internet of the places I visit. But our stay was made incredibly unforgettable by Blom, who showed us around his village, his home, village’s paddy fields etc. We also went to waterfalls and viewpoints but these you can find anywhere. What made it special was Blom’s sincere, jolly presence. A fantastic way to spend a day in Ella region!

This was an exceptional find right on the Pekoe trail at Makulella. beautiful rooms, excellent dinner and breakfast with hosts Chandra and Dan. They have turned their property into a small garden paradise! Great for trail walkers. Thank you for our stay and for sharing your stories.

I had a wonderful stay at this property. The place was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. I especially loved the peaceful environment and beautiful surroundings—it felt like a perfect getaway. We stayed for 6 days but then extended for another week. We loved our little house above the fields. Every morning it was incredibly interesting to watch the life in the fields. It gets quite cold at night in this place but there are blankets in the apartment. The owner also served us breakfast every morning which was tasty and varied. The actual price was a bit higher than the booking.com listing. The WiFi is very fast but because of this the limit quickly ran out and we had to pay extra. Also the use of gas for cooking costs extra. Otherwise our stay was great!

Very good tasty breakfast. Calm and quiet location. It is excellent for family stay. Niluka and husband was very friendly and helpful. It is is a perfect bungalow. We will stay again there next time when I go to Bandarawela. Hospitality at very best.

    My girlfriend and I truly enjoyed our stay at Ovitiyas Bandarawela. We took the train from Kandy and the location was very conveniently located - close to the town. The hospitality was warm and welcoming. Our accommodations were comfortable and very well maintained. Dining was a very good experience, with the staff even arranging us an outdoor candle-lit dinner. It was a delightful visit.

    Property owners were much more friendly. Everything (including beds, washrooms, food) was well arranged. The background of the Bungalow was really picturesque. With this stay, I can say as guests we enjoyed peace and tranquility, while experiencing a home-away-from-home vibe, making it a perfect choice for a relaxing vacation.

    We enjoyed our stay here a lot! the location is great, in the nature, next to the railways but only 5 min Tuk Tuk drive to bandarawela. the rooms are spacious and very comfortable, at night you can listen to the nature sounds. the staff is very friendly and organised train tickets, Tuk Tuks for us. They welcomed us with tea and two plates of sweets. they prepare very delicious food, do all fresh so sometimes you have to wait a bit, but it’s not a a problem at all in holiday :) we really recommend to stay there!
