That was one of the most amazing and unordinary stay in my life. And working in a tourism I’ve been staying in many hotels all over the world. The view from the room is awe-inspiring. The air here is so clean, fresh, and filled with the scents of flowers and trees that you can't get enough of it. I was sitting on the balcony for several hours, unable to take my eyes off the views of the mountains around me. The room itself was very comfortable to stay in, excellent bed linen and pillows gave me a feeling of comfort while sleeping. The manager of the property Inthizar was very hospitable, showed us the entire territory of the hotel, told us the story of its creation, that many things in the interior were made by his father's hands. In the morning, he took us to the tea factory (which works here for more than 70 years already), where we had a fascinating tour of the tea production and tasting of various varieties of tea. Then he took us to the local market, where we bought fresh fruits. It was a pity to leave the hotel, one night is not enough to enjoy all the charm of living in THE CLOUDS BTW, The drive from the center of Kandy took us around 50 minutes, the navigator finds the location without any problems, the entrance is very convenient

Amidst green lush hills you find this wonderful old planter’s villa that constitutes the main house of this beautiful resort. We spend some lovely relaxing days here over Christmas time. Thilan, the manager, is very friendly and so is his staff. He took us for a walk through the garden and for a trip to see an old temple nearby with astonishing drawings and gave us suggestions for local walks. Our kids loved the pool overlooking the hills. We highly recommend this resort.

Location has both urbanity and nature with a sense of serenity. The Ayurwedic Spa and the eco-friendly environment is a plus point. Very cool in the mornings and night. The villa was beyond expectation! The manager was so lovely, prepared a wonderful candle lit dinner for us, and a wonderful breakfast! Made sure we were comfortable the whole time. Our room was lovely and clean. I think it’s location is great, a short way from Kandy city centre so it’s no noisy, but still easy to get to the city with a tuktuk. Walking distance to the botanical garden which was great! The nicest property we have stayed in, in SriLanka!

    The view is just out of this world. Great place for the escape to the nature and fresh air. The host, Inthizar made our trip smooth with all small details being organised including transportation, suggestions of place to visit and small hike to the breathtaking view point. I work in hospitality and I was so surprised to receive such a great personalised service. I highly recommend to visit The Cloud - memorable staycation guaranteed!

    The welcome from the staff was incredible, friendly and helpful. The accommodation is a match for the breathtaking views you see from your room. World class views and very difficult to beat. The food was delicious, healthy and catered for adults and children. This is a place you can genuinely switch off from the world and digital life.

    Of the 9 places I have stayed in Sri Lanka, this had the best facilities. Smart bedding and towels, working TV, bar fridge and wifi; good hot water supply. Pleasant outlook from balcony, including toque macaque monkeys playing on wires not far away. Close to main street but only train noise noticed. Owner keen to assist. Comfortable lounge chairs and small dining table. Very clean modern bathroom. Only a 350 rupee ride to the fabulous Myula Restaurant/Bar with its sensational views and great food. Exemplary.

    The hospitality of the hosts was amazing. They collected our luggage on arrival and made sure everything in the room was ready. We were the only one staying in the whole property at the time of check-in so we got a VIP treatment. The chef is an amazing cook and the Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing. The chef was really considerate of our food requirements and made sure the food was according to our taste. The property serves halal food.

    It was a wonderful night's stay at Dawson Bungalow while I was exploring the Kadugannawa area. And the bungalow is situated very close to the Kadugannwa railway station, Dawson Tower, and Balumgala View Point. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable. The service was also excellent.
