Accommodation situated on the outskirts of the coconut village amidst the agro fields. 3.5km to the empty beach, 35 min walk, 16 min run, 10 min by bike through the local houses and fields. Very quiet agro area. Good for discovering a way of local's life. Anuska, the host, he arranged for us the snorkeling trip to Bar reef for very reasonabld price. Excellent communication with the host. A gentleman in the charge of the property and the kitchen was very helpful. A great and rich organic food served during the breakfast and dinner. The nearest bus stop in 10 min walking distance from the accommodation. Thr rooms are ample and very nice. Very neat bathroom. Highly recommended provided this sort of experience is the one you're up to.

Dili and Roshan and their family where treating us as their family members. We felt immediately at home at their place. We enjoyed fantastic meals prepared in their own little restaurant. The name of this hostel truly reflects the place—it is a paradise. It’s a pity this location isn’t more frequented because it’s a fantastic spot, surrounded by coconut palms and charming huts. The owner, Malik, is an excellent host who speaks perfect English and goes out of his way to make guests feel comfortable. Since there were only four of us staying, he generously offered each of us a private room for the same price as a dormitory bed. The beds are equipped with mosquito nets, and they also provide towels, which adds to the comfort of the stay. Breakfast is included, and they offer a restaurant service for lunch and dinner. Additionally, they can arrange various activities in the area. While recent storms have damaged some facilities and the access road—possibly explaining the lower number of visitors—the place remains well-maintained, clean, and conveniently close to both the beach and Kalpitiya Dutch Fort. Day and night, this place offers the perfect tranquility to disconnect from the world and relax. The restaurant terrace has board games, books, and even a lovely cat to keep you company. I highly recommend this hostel—it’s affordable, well-managed, and offers excellent service.

We had a fabulous stay here for two nights. Sabina was an excellent host, always available to help with advice on places to go. We particularly enjoyed the meals we had in the restaurant which were well thought out and offered travellers something different. Sabina was able to cater for vegan / vegetarians and adapted dishes to suit. A great start to our holiday. A good place for dolphin boat trips.

This was by far the best accommodation of our trip. Shibi and Dinesh were such great hosts and made us feel very welcome during our stay. It is a really special and calm place. The food was amazing and the kitesurf lessons from the resort next door helped us a lot to learn the first steps. It’s really nice how both resorts let the guests make use of both facilities/activities. That’s also nice for socializing. Would definitely recommend!

Villa Setha Wadi was a great find with an amazing location right on the lagoon - beautiful pool, lounge chairs & kayaks. Our a/c waterfront ensuite room was spacious & quiet, bed was super comfortable. Food was delicious and the chef was able to veganify all our meals. The staff are extremely accomodation. Overall we had an excellent stay. Matt also is an excellent & very experienced kite instructor, with plenty of equipment in excellent condition.

Loved the place! Spacious and well appointed room, overlooking the lagoon. Was a great place for us to wind our vacation down. We were the only guests in the resort when we stayed, so we got great attention by Romina and Sasi. Food was good, the views were great and the cats on property were very friendly.

Felt like home. People are so kind, the food was really good, perfect ending of our vacation, a few days we totally crashed at this place. The pool is amazing and we felt really comfortable and at home. We extended our stay 2 times. Just go there is our advice!

Excellent place to stay during kite holidays in Kalpitiya. By motorboat I was transported everyday to kite beach and back to the resort, the lunch was brougt at the beach too, the staff of the resort was extremely nice and very helpful, they have a kite center managed by instructor Mr. Matt, who is professional kitesurfing teacher. The food was amazing. Resort is situated right at the kiting lagoon. Recommended !
