Xincheng has a real village feel. It is also closer to Taroko Gorge, with buses and scooter rental at the train station. Xincheng also has a big deserted beach to go for a stroll. The rooms were spacious, clean and with excellent views. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were also clean and modern. In general, the place had a relatively new feel. The accommodation has a small pool and a big indoor play area for kids, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Although there was a bit of a language barrier (little english spoken!) the owners were also very friendly and welcoming!
