You can quickly reach the airport, the train stations and the Messe Basel fairgrounds by public transport, which can be used for free during your stay at the Spalentor hotel. The Spalentor Bus Stop is just 30 metres away. It was a good choise. The hotel is in a very good location, walking distance from the old town, and there are a lot of bus and tram stations nearby (to get to the airport was very easy). The staff is very nice. We were celebrating a birthday in Basel, so we got an upgraded room and were invited to have champagne at the bar. The hotel very clear and pleasant. The bed was very confortable. There were fress fruits and lemonade free at the reception every day. The breakfast was delicious and varied.

The buffet breakfast starts from 6 AM through 10:30 AM which is very well prepared with delicious baked croissants and breads, fresh preserves and butter, hot porridge and various roasted vegetables, mushrooms, cold cuts, various cheeses, yogurts, fresh and dry fruits and nuts...of course various coffee and teas. The location is very convenient which is one tram stop from the train station and walking distance to the City Center. We had the Small Charming Room which it's true to its name. We had wonderful time and extended our staying because we had such a nice time!
