Hotel Calamari Baru has a private beach area, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Playa Blanca. Built in 2019, the property is within a few steps of Playa Blanca. The accommodation offers room service, a concierge service and organising tours for guests. The place is located just in front of the beach. I stayed there only one night. The room was like in the photos, the food was delicious, and the staff was helpful. The pick-up and drop-off by taxi went smoothly. I enjoyed my stay. It was not noisy as indicated in the other reviews. The only sound I heard was the waves' sound. Just a little note, all these hotels are located at the beach. There is no car access; if you do not want to carry your luggage after the taxi drops you, you need to request a carrier that costs 20.000 COP (or you can request the boat shuttle, cheaper than a taxi, faster, and drops you off in front of the hotel at the beach, but your luggage and yourself can get wet :) )

Fantastic beach resort. Staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and dinners were nice. The bar has great vistas and on the roof there is a telescope so I got to see Saturn and its rings. Rooms have those Japanese automatic toilets which I had never experienced before.

The place is in a good location, not too far from the entrance of Playa Blanca, which makes it way less crowded, less noisy. The room is fine for the money you pay. Due to the bleach's location, most places don't have power during the day and also are short on water. So you gotta keep in mind when going there. The host was pretty nice and helpful.

All guest rooms at the accommodation feature air conditioning and a desk. The island is beautiful, and its design and concept are truly exceptional . The food selection is excellent, with a 3-course meal offered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The presence of animals and the surrounding nature adds a wonderful touch to the overall experience. There are always very small groups of people, and at times it feels like you have the island all to yourself. The boat ride was conducted with great professionalism and care, which I deeply appreciated, especially as I was traveling with my senior parents. This level of responsibility is rare, based on my past experiences visiting neighboring islands and resorts. But above all, the customer service was OUTSTANDING . GRACIAS to every crew member, and a special shout out to Jeison, he went above and beyond to help us celebrate my husband’s birthday.
