It is really close to the forest and has a great, very naturalistic atmosphere. The staff is very kind and friendly. The wellness part is smaller but enough to have some relax. The breakfast has a pretty good selection even though the hotel itself is smaller. They could prepare the room earlier than the actual check in (for an extra charge).

We stayed at Csenger Vendégházak from July 16th to 18th, 2025, and it was a truly delightful experience. The property was beautifully maintained, cozy, and full of charm. The location was excellent—peaceful, yet close to nearby attractions. Our host, Mr. Chris, was incredibly helpful, attentive, and kind. He made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit, and his warm hospitality added a personal touch that made us feel genuinely welcome. I highly recommend Csenger Vendégházak to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable getaway. I’d love to return someday!

Bagoly-kő Panzió - Mátra Túraközpont está a 39 km de Basílica de Eger y ofrece alojamiento con restaurante, jardín, terraza y bar. Se ofrece wifi gratis. Fantastic and quiet place to stay,nice and clean room with everything you need,secure place for motorcycle in the yard,good breakfast. As a biker who travels around couldn't ask for more. Definitely recomended .

Diana Panzió se encuentra en Mátrafüred y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis y TV de pantalla plana, además de jardín y salón de uso común. The staff were really welcoming and friendly, the table tennis was a brilliant addition, and the location was excellent too : )

The 4-star Avar Hotel was built in 2020 and it is located at the foot of the Mátra mountain. It offers garden, wellness center, 24-hour front desk, room service and luggage storage. Spa&wellness is perfect. Dinner is way above the expectation (burgundi marhaszelet was michlen level). Massage is a thing you want to test here.

4 Évszak Hegyihotel está en Mátraháza, a 47 km de Parque termal de Egerszalók, y dispone de alojamiento con centro de fitness, parking privado gratis, jardín y salón de uso común. They changed us to another hotel so close to that one because they had a problem on it, but the new one was even better! Everything was so luxurious, they had even a jacuzzi and a sauna. We went to ski but it was no snow, so we stayed a lot of time in the hotel enjoying it. Personal was also very nice! It was such a lovely place. :)

Pásztó Fogadó se encuentra en Pásztó y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis y terraza. Todas las unidades disponen de baño privado, aire acondicionado, TV de pantalla plana y nevera. Everything. The place was very nice and comfortable, bigger than expected. The owner was extremely kind and he gave me great recommendations for a restaurant nearby. And given the price, I'd say it makes this a near perfect place. I would definitely love to come back.
