Praikamarru Home Stay is located on the edge of a traditional village. Here you can see the Ikat weaving process, beautiful Marapu traditions and architecture and general village life. Eddy, the host has a lot of knowledge he can share because he grew up there. The room has views over the horce racing track. It’s very clean and comfortable.

The room was new, spacious, and very clean. The owners are incredibly kind and love their dogs (and puppies!) - dog lovers will feel right at home here. There’s no AC, but the cool nights made it perfectly comfortable. The Wi-Fi runs on Starlink, so the connection was strong. And the food… absolutely amazing - probably the best we had in all of Sumba! Don’t miss their famous lobster soup!

We had a wonderful time at this exceptional eco-resort. We stayed for four nights, but we wished we could have stayed longer. From the moment of arrival, all throughout our stay and right up to our departure, we were exceedingly well-treated by all the staff at Anna Villas. They staff make this the special place it is: they were welcoming, friendly and kind, and provide amazing service. This is a fantastic place to really chill out and get close to nature. We saw wild horses and buffalo, and enjoyed watching glorious sunsets and looking up to see the stars at night. There is an incredible beach, which we had almost entirely to ourselves, most of the time. We relaxed, and went swimming and snorkelling to see the incredible coral reefs. We stayed in the Villa Paul area, which had a fantastic shared pool and well-designed communal area, which was a great place to hang out. Inside, the private villa was beautifully decorated with lovely furniture and facilities. We ate all our meals at Anna Villas and we were really happy with everything we had to eat and drink. They accommodated vegetarians very well. It's possible to organise trips and other activities at Anna Villas. We chose to have a Sumbanese massage, with traditional local oils, which was fantastic. Overall, this was a magical stay, which we will never forget.

Umarato Villa Sumba tiene piscina al aire libre, jardín, salón de uso común y terraza en Rua. One of the most beautiful properties we have seen- the view, the villa and especially the service (Jois was exceptional)- pure luxury. Highly recommended!

Hars is an amazing host who likes to share his ideas of a true ecological lifestyle, which includes his fabulous garden, that also provides fruits and veggies for your brekkie. Don't be alarmed by the lack of electric air-condition, there's a breeze on the hills that keeps your cute house cool at night. We stayed three nights at Hars Garden and were very well taken care of. Hars knowledge about the surroundings and east Sumba is a source not to disregard.

Alamayah Boutique Retreat Hotel está en Deke, a 6 min a pie de Playa Watu Bella, y dispone de alojamiento con piscina al aire libre, parking privado gratis, centro de fitness y jardín. The staff were amazing and treated me like family. They were generous with their hospitality, not over the top or fawning. The building is exceptional. The entire stay was fantastic! I would definitely stay here agin!!

The staff here is beyond delightful, they made the stay! Helpful, friendly. The aromatherapy massage was excellent as well!
