Eddy, the host has a lot of knowledge he can share because he grew up there. The room has views over the horce racing track. It’s very clean and comfortable.

Beautiful Place, brandnew bungalows with fantastic view over rua bay, super clean and nice, loved the bathrooms. Imelda and her team are so lovely and made us feel very comfy - food is great! Especially if you love dogs and horses this is the place to go. Internet/wifi is very good (better in bungalow 1, text them for this in advance). Road is bumpy for the last 50 meters only.

The breakfast was excellent. Overall, the experience at the villa was amazing. The villas were very modern and well appointed. The staff really takes care of you at this villa. You are steps away from a private beach with very few people (if any) which is quite the opposite of Bali. The staff brought out a beach chair and a table. I had cocktails on the beach. Staff provided me with snorkeling gear and water shoes as well. I arrived late at night and the staff made sure I had dinner within an hour or so of my arrival. Talk with the staff! They are amazing people and enjoy what they do. My only regret is that I wish I could have stayed longer! You won't regret it!

Waking up to the open horizon and the sound of nature felt like a dream. The atmosphere is peaceful and pure in a way that is hard to find anywhere else. The beauty of Villa Morika is undeniable, the views, the sunrises, the raw nature, the deep silence. But what makes this place truly unforgettable is the heart behind it. The staff cooked for us with so much love, guided us with patience, laughed with us, and created moments that felt almost sacred. We have traveled to many places in the world, but Sumba is special. Villa Morika is special. And the people here are the reason. We are leaving with full hearts, deeper understanding, and the feeling of having gained something meaningful. We already know that we will come back. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for everything. You gave us a piece of Sumba that we will carry forever.

But when we arrive, we are greeted with such amazing view! Nice property, secluded and tranquil. We are facilitated with full service, and our children comfort is well taken care off. They are super happy because they can harvested their own vegetable to table. They are building new properties, single unit villas with their own private pools and facilities. Perfect for future romantic escape. Not to forget to mention their exceptional restaurant, Umanga'a. We have a top notch dinning experience celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. We would love to going back to Umarato in our future holiday.
