Guwahati Planetarium is 2.8 km away and Umananda Temple is 3.4 km from the apartment. Biman and Bandita (“BimBan”) are the young progressive married couple who run this property. Not only are they very knowledgeable and help to guide you to make the most of your stay, they are also quite fun and you may just end up out on the town having cocktails with them and their friends if you are so inclined. You can tell they have an artistic spirit by just looking at the photos of the property, where you can see baskets hanging from the ceiling, nice large tables, cozy couches, and little knickknacks, often rock ‘n’ roll and other interesting themes throughout the rooms. The place is clean, the beds are comfortable, you can even ask for your laundry to be done at an additional charge to pay the woman who does it. It’s off of the busy street and so is quiet, but is still walking distance to interesting places and restaurants. They live with their family in one of the other units in the building, so they’re there readily available if the need arises. This is one of those unusual properties that one should feel privileged to stay at anywhere in the world, let alone at the relatively inexpensive rate for what is provided. This was one of the best experiences I had during my entire travels in India, and I like to think that we became friends, over time and cocktails. I have only positive things to say about the property and my interactions with this couple and their family.

I would highly recommend Bononi to anyone visiting Jorhat.

At the bed and breakfast, the family-friendly restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and high tea and serves American cuisine. This is easily one of the best accommodation experiences I have had in the world and I've traveled to over 40 countries. My husband and I planed to stay for three nights and we extended two more nights. Our room was clean, spacious, and had a great atmosphere. It felt really cozy as soon as we walked in. Also, we had a little patio right outside of our room where we would worked and drank tea when we were not doing safaris. The food was AWESOME - we ordered smoked pork curry, smoked pork fried rice, pasta with red sauce and white sauce, dal fry, boiled veggies. Everything was just delicious all the time and it came with a very good serving too. You don't want to miss the breakfast either. My husband usually didn't care about getting up early for breakfast but he did for Nature Hunt's breakfast. ALSO, the most important of all for us, was that the manager, Aovick, and all the assistants and servers WERE INCREDIBLE! We arrived really late the first night, and Aovick thought ahead and ordered dinner for us so we were welcomed by tasty, warm food. Aovick was just such a warm-hearted, funny, helpful, thoughtful person. He is both professional and accommodating. He asked someone to picked us up at the highway late at night, he let us extend within a short notice, he arranged safaris for us, he asked someone to wave down a van to go to Jorhat on the highway with us, he asked if we wanted to join other guests at the campfire. He thought of our needs before we did. All the staff was also all really friendly all the time and were always there to help. It was always so pleasant to interact with them.

It’s a perfect spot for couples and families (not suitable for house parties). The place provides homely and cozy experience. The location is very quiet and peaceful with good road network connectivity in the heart of Tezpur.
