They pampered us like royalty! Retro Kampot Guesthouse exceeded all our expectations. The staff is great, we were given fruits and treats at every meal, they daily brought mosquito repellents to our bungalows, cold water as much as we wanted, we also got fresh coconuts to drink. They own their own canoes and you can take them to the watter for free whenever you have the time. They also arranged all the site seeing that we wanted for us. Thank you for organizing a surprise birthday gift for my wife, if we ever come back we know where we will stay 🙂

Walking is not an option but scooters and laundry services are available at the resort. Rooms are very large, cool and clean. Bed was bit firm. The owners’ family is extremely helpful and friendly. Rainy season had just started and we didn’t want to ride the bumpy dirt road after dark, so we had our dinners at the spacious lounge area. It’s like a home room with opportunity to meet other guests. Authentic and tasty Cambodian food comes from the family’s own kitchen. Drinks and cocktails are also available at a reasonable price. You can enjoy quiet evenings here with a countryside feel.

The room was super clean, the bed incredibly comfortable and it all looks just like the pictures. They have a very cozy roof top where you can eat, have drinks or do yoga. The food was amazing, best scrambled tofu we‘ve ever had. But the best part of our stay was the friendliness of the hosts Tola and Patrick! It was our favourite stay in all Cambodia so far and we will definitely go back someday. Would 100% recommend!

The room is cleaned daily and to be honest it seems like they changed bed sheet daily too. INCREDIBLE CLEAN - great breakfast : eggs different ways or pancakes - coffee, teas or smoothie all serviced with daily fresh fruits. Once again well presented and clean - great help: assisting with bookings, scooter rental for only $7 a day directly from the Guesthouse. Laundry $1 per kilo, ready on your door the next day - great location: close to the main area but is a quite spot - amazing team looking after, run by a family. Very lovely and helpful Negative: Nothing to do with the Guesthouse itself. The bloody trumpet at 5am from the nearest military base it is incredible annoying. It goes on for 30 min. I feel bad as this can bother many guests and turn them away. But the place it is so lovely and deserves to be booked every day for the amazing effort they put. Thanks for having us 😀

Staying here is very relaxing. Everything is efficient and taken care of. I really appreciate that every day when I get back from breakfast, my room is nicely tidied up. I like it so much here, I decided to extend my stay :)

Beautiful setting on the river just outside Kampot. Really nice, clean and comfortable room with a beautiful view on the river. Amazing terrace over the water with seating and hammocks. Ben and his family/team were the perfect hosts, friendly and so helpful. We rented a moto and used the free kayaks most days to explore the river/watch the sunset. We stayed 5 nights but could have stayed more.
