Hotel River Front was a little piece of paradise for the 2 nights we stayed here (with my husband and 5 year old). The entire property is immaculately clean - from the gardens to the rooms and bathrooms - it was spotless. Room and bathroom was large, good hot water in shower, good air-conditioning, lovely balcony overlooking garden wirh river at the bottom. Pool was fabulous and great to relax around after a safari. We ate dinner at the hotel on both nights. Food was really delicious and good choice. Breakfast was included in the package and was very good (fresh pancakes, fruit, toast, eggs, sausage, etc...). On the morning of our safari they packaged a breakfast up for us which was appreciated. Hotel organised a private safari for us. Channa was our guide and was brilliant. So knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure we had a great day. We saw loads of animals including leopards and the scenery was stunning. A special thanks to all the staff who made our stay so special- they all do a fabulous job and made us so very welcome. If we are back in the area we would definitely stay here again.

Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It's just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance. We had a truly wonderful stay and couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. The accommodation was absolutely fabulous—comfortable, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed to meet every need. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to make us feel at home. The food was another highlight, offering a delicious variety of well-prepared dishes that delighted our taste buds. The organised safari was also great! Overall, it was a fabulous stay!

Really great safari experience, the host made everything to find the elephants and other animals, but also explained us a lot about their behaviour, lifestyle and many other things. I loved a lot that the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and at any time accessible, the rooms were tidy, clean, and very spacious. Large balcony, private and quiet. The location was great too. I spent there 2 nights and it was very relaxing. The breakfast was delicious too. Definitely recommend this place. Great value for the money!

An exceptional family stay, in December 2024, this was a newly built facility. The family run hotel had a homely atmosphere, everyone was super friendly and polite. The owner has put a lot of thought into the layout and details of the whole hotel. The room are expansive, very comfortable and immaculately clean. The private balconies offer great views over the picturesque rice fields and beyond to the lake. The gardens are teaming with birds. The pool is well maintained, and very welcome after a long journey. The food was super fresh and very tasty, home cooked in a very clean open air kitchen. The owner arranged our Yala safari. We had a very enjoyable stay, in hide sight we should have stayed longer.

I loved everything about this place. I would like to start by commending Gayan, the host! He is probably the best and nicest host I've had in Sri Lanka. He sent me to the town FOC to get some of the best Sri Lankan food I've eaten, given me a free nature tour around the lake where we can see fruit bats and owls, arranged the safari at the most affordable rate I could find, had some of the most interesting conversations about plants, animals, Sri Lankan culture, etc. Everything in this place felt like a family home. We had tea at 4AM before the safari and was also welcomed back with a king coconut! The room was also amazingly clean, spacious, well decorated and came with an extra cooler fan because Tissa can get quite hot. I definitely recommend this place and would love to come back again!

We visited Black Panther Yala to have a place to stay while visiting Yala national park, but what we got was so much more. The host Nalin is an increadiable host. Its important for him that you have the best experience possibel and you feel that when staying at black panther yala. Nalin showed us what we could do in Thissamahara and we got to use bikes to go on a tour to see this beutiful area. You should not miss out on taking some time to take a look. Nalin also arranged our visit to Yala national park. The guide and option he recommended for us was perfekt. The facilities are very clean and I was very comfortabel during my whole stay. Also, the food was delicious! Homemade sri lankan food and as good as it comes. We also got to know about the foods and its ingredians which was very appreciated You wont find a more priceworthy option when visiting the nationalpark or Thissamahara. I recomend it wholeheartily.

Small, simple, well maintainted, and very practical hotel. +2. I recommend staying at the TENT ROOMS. it's a great experience of you like adventure. +3. The owner and host, THISARA is very attentive, helpful and an absolute professional. We wish him great success. +4. The husband wife duo staff members NISHANI & ISHAN were absolutely fantastic. They make your stay smooth. JAYALATH, the 3rd staff member, was so helpful and did a great job organising the BBQ dinner. +5. A BBQ dinner along with local food items from the menu is a must. Don't miss that. Make sure to do that. You will love it. A great experience, especially for families with children. +6. They organised our Yala jungle safari with a very good driver who spoke English, and did everything he can to make our jungle safari memorable. A big thank you to him. +7.
