Riad Dar Susan - Authentic Stay in Zagora is located in Zagora and features a plunge pool and mountain views. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The riad has family rooms. This Riad surprised us! With wonderful hospitality, traditional tea service, kind and solid hosts. It combines tradition with luxury. The room was the best equipped for this type of accommodation of all the places we stayed in Morocco. Small, a little dark, but authentic, clean and very cozy, with a fragrant bathroom. We stayed only one night, but the second we took advantage of their offer to travel to the Sahara, to Erg Cheggaga and spent the night in an authentic Berber camp. It included a 4x4 trip to the desert, camel riding, climbing a high sand dune to watch the sunset, the starry sky at night and welcoming the sunrise. ♥♥♥ The best thing about it all was the guy-Riad guide (sorry, I don't remember your name), who has experienced the Dakar Rally teams, has learned a lot of languages ​​just from interacting with tourists, whose company and conversations with him allowed me to get to know a little about the local culture, the love of the desert and to learn a few words in the local language. ♥ Thanks also to the skilled 4x4 driver

A car rental service is available at Dar Toda - Zagora guest house. This place was amazing!! I made the reservation accidentally not knowing they were undergoing renovations, but the owner still let me stay there. He was so kind and accommodating. He made me tea and made the room up very comfortably for me. Even though they were renovating, the place was gorgeous and very clean. I HIGHLY recommend!!! (Also there’s an adorable kitty named couscous who loves getting pets 🥰)

We didn't give it a 10 only because we found the price a bit on the high side compared to all the other places we stayed at during our 24 days road trip.

At the bed and breakfast, units come with bed linen and towels. Our room was large, beautifully designed and had a mountain-view balcony. Eating next to the tiled pool was fantastic. Food was great, in huge portions. Mohamed and staff patiently helped us with some trip logistics. They also organized a really fun half-day tour to an ancient library, a pottery town and lunch and camel ride in the Sahara dunes at Erg Lihoudi. We loved our stay!

The rooms/bungalows are excellent, with nice bathrooms, comfy beds and very clean. Staff are excellent. Evening meals a delicious as is breakfast. The gardens and pool are amazing and you wake up in the morning to the sound of birds chirping, a true paradise. I will definitely return for a longer stay next time.

In some units there is a dressing room for guests to change in. This is a beautiful place quietly located a couple blocks from the main square. I really enjoyed watching the sunrise and enjoying a delightful breakfast from the rooftop balcony. This place radiates a warm and welcoming appeal and I found the bed very comfortable. Although I don't speak French or Darija, we were able to communicate effectively (partly with a translation app) and he was extremely hospitable and accommodating. I also found the area very nice to explore on foot and met many very friendly people around the city.

The exceptional design of the building conveys a relaxed ambiance that also keeps the building cool throughout the midday heat. The staff is great as is the food. The balcony is a great place to watch the sunrise and have breakfast. The surrounding area from the mountains, farms, historical sites and villages gives great opportunities for hiking around. I would highly recommend this kasbah.
