Fantastic rooms, gardens, service and of course Laguna de Apoyo is a dream. Daniel the barman was right San Simian is Muy tranquilo!

Situated in Masaya, 8.5 km from Mirador de Catarina, Madre Casa provides accommodation with a hot tub, a fitness room and an open-air bath. There is a private entrance at the homestay for the convenience of those who stay. The homestay features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. It was great, even so my Spanish ain’t great the host was super friendly and like to talk and help wherever he could. The house is amazing, it’s a family house, spacious and you feel like being a friend at someone’s home and not stranger in a hotel!

La Casa de Leo - Hostal, Restaurante y Artesania local is located in San Juan de Oriente, 1.9 km from Mirador de Catarina and 14 km from Volcan Mombacho. The hostel has a terrace and mountain views, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar.

An à la carte breakfast is available at the accommodation. Breakfasts made by Yanet were excellent and different each day with fruits, eggs, rice and beans (gallo pinto) and coffee. The core family (Hébert, Yanet and their son Lester) with whom I dealt with everyday are truly genuine people, they have helped me 200% with research on land/houses in that area (my goal when I visited Nicaragua), We had excellent conversations, like I never had in other Latin countries, all in all if you want to understand this amazing country more and you speak Spanish, you will learn a lot. Also, members of the family are master potters, they have a small studio downstairs where you can buy their work and also, very recently, take a ceramics course on site. Don't forget to ask them who is 'Leo'

Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The accommodation provides free WiFi throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a family-friendly restaurant. Excellent kitchen, super friendly ans helpful owners, beautiful place. I strongly recommend.

This is the second time we have come back to this property and is our go to in Laguna de Apoyo! Quiet, beautiful views, super friendly host and the included breakfast is delicious!!

Located 13 km from Mirador de Catarina, Casa Bella offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden and barbecue facilities. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, table tennis, free private parking and free WiFi. Guests can make use of the outdoor fireplace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the lake and garden. Very individual design and even with the busy hotel activity in the neighborhood Casa Bella is really calm. The high rise beds are very comfortable, with very intelligent solution for light switches and fans… very well working aircon. Kitchen equipped with basic ingredients, fridge with eggs and some drinks… we didnt use it, but it was nice to have the option. Dogs were not only welcome, they had a water bowl prepared in the common area. A small welcome board on the door was a very sweet plus to feel at home. Great to have the option to use restaurant service of Casa Marimba.
