This was the highlight of my entire journey through the north – a truly exceptional hotel in every aspect. The room was impeccably clean, tastefully furnished, and had a warmth that contrasted beautifully with the snowy Arctic landscape outside. The name "The View" is no coincidence – the panorama from the windows is breathtaking. Although the restaurant at the hotel was closed in the evening, the staff had an agreement with a restaurant in town offering a 10% discount – a thoughtful and convenient touch. The dinner I had there was nothing short of exquisite: a creamy seafood soup and fresh local catch of the day – truly some of the best food I enjoyed in Norway. Breakfast the next morning? Absolutely the best I had on the whole trip. Fresh, generous, and served in a room flooded with morning light and framed by views of snow-covered mountains. The town of Honningsvåg itself is charming, with its working harbour, fishing boats, and colourful houses set against the stark white hillside. It felt like stepping into a painting.

For over 100 years, Arctic Boutique Hotel Northcape, by the old name HAVLY, has been a safe haven for visitors and fishermen to Honningsvåg. Very friendly staff and chef who prepared excellent food in the restaurant.

Sarnes Seaside Cabins ligt in Honningsvåg, op 39 km van Noordkaap, en biedt gratis WiFi, gratis privéparkeren en uitzicht op de bergen. What a spectacular setting! Check-in was simple with easy-to-follow instructions - all communication was like this, and timely. The cabin was well set out, and we appreciated having enough seats to watch TV. The kitchen had everything we needed to self-cater, although a bit tricky to reach the microwave on top of the refrigerator (we moved it on to the bench for ease of use). Parking just outside so no stress - reindeer constantly on the surrounding mountains provided us with plenty of entertainment. There is a restaurant in the teepees on site, but we didn't book in time (we did notice busloads stopping for dinner). An easy drive to shops and supermarkets in Honningsvag, and only 40 min to NordKapp. Happily recommend.
