Raúl and his family are amazing! Such great hosts! The room was comfortable and clean and they went out of the way to make sure we were warm and cozy…heater in the room, hot water for tea, hot water bottles to warm the beds, and tons of blankets. They transported us wherever we needed to go and made arrangements for our tour to Taquile. The food was yummy and the bed was comfortable. We even had a shower with hot water! I would highly recommend them for a stay on Uros!

His daughter taught us to make simple bracelets that was really fun and beautiful to have something handmade to bring home. The room is very quiet, clean and comfortable. I slept very well 2 nights. Always hot water for tea and coffee. Hot shower is hot! View is spectacular. I do recommend staying at least 2 nights to feel the tranquility and peace on the island.

It was my dream to live on the floating islands of Lake Titicaca. Walter and his family's lodge is one of the best places to live comfortably and observe the real life of the Uros people. I was worried that it would be cold. but the living conditions pleasantly surprised me - hot water, a large bed with duvets, huge windows through which the sun heats the room during the day and gas heaters for the evening. Walter's mother cooked delicious, fresh and healthy food for us. Walter took us on a boat ride every day and helped organize all the excursions. To work online, we needed the Internet, and in this part of the lake the mobile signal is strong enough to work. Because on the islands that are farther from the coast, the Internet connection is weak. Great experience!
