The staff was truly extraordinary. I have never felt this degree of personal attention from ANY hotel before. The resort was very well managed in all aspects. Food options were extensive and well prepared, which is important because there are very few other options for food on this island. Breakfast was great, and part of the room price, but we ate nearly every meal at the resort during the five days that we were there. Both pools were very nice, and having free kayaks and snorkel gear available was also a plus. We stayed here to wind down after four weeks of touring SE Asia. It was the perfect ending to our trip.

The room was lovely and a traditional Thai breakfast was provided every morning along with bottles of water for the day. The best thing about the property though has to be the hosts! What a lovely couple. They were so kind to myself and my partner and made us feel very welcomed and totally at home. We had some cool conversations where one of the hosts demonstrated her impressive English! She also educated us on the 2 different types of mango trees they have on the land and also prepared one of the sweet fruits for us, it was delicious! The husband also makes his own coffee and we were lucky enough to try that too! I believe we tried a medium roast and it did not disappoint. But as a whole, the hosts really made our stay special.

Our host was a wonderful woman who took care of all our needs. Ai first we booked two nights, but when we arrived at the destination we immediately wanted to book more nights because the place was so wonderful. We had every morning a varied breakfast at the time we wanted. The lady can cook affordable and tasty Thai food on request. The apartment has two efficient air conditioning units and fans. The interior is modern and beautiful and the beds are comfortable to sleep. If you are visiting a large group, you can use two toilets and a shower. Beach bar only 50 meters away. Several restaurants, shops and scooter rentals and laundry facilities within 150-200 meters. Maximum 40m to a wonderful sandy beach where you can see the sunset. The accommodation has a cozy yard sheltered by palm trees, where you can spend time in peace without other tourists lying in hammocks. They can help with transportation to accommodation or boat trips for a reasonable price. The lady's daughter speaks perfect English and communication with her was flawless. They really wanted to do their best to make us feel relaxed and comfortable.

The room had a cozy terrace where we met sunrises and relaxed before going to sleep. We really liked that the room had a stunning sea view because we felt a connection with nature. This created a wonderful atmosphere during the stay. Staff was very friendly, they helped with transport and gave advices on what to see. We spent 5 unforgettable nights in the village. In our opinion, this is the best option for accommodation in a fishing village on this island. The owner responded kindly and quickly to all our requests, providing a wonderful place to stay and enjoy nature, sea and food

Great hosts, lovely beach front huts with amazing views. We loved our stay there as the island is a natural Thai paradise for us. Sadly didn't see any dugong as they are rare but the boat trip around the island was amazing. The food in the restaurant was amazing also, would recommend the tamarind fish. Another special thing about the beach are the hundreds of hermit crabs so watch where you walk

Libong Beach Resort is a 10-minute drive to Baan Prao pier. Offering free Wi-Fi in public areas, the hotel also provides free private parking on site. Facilities are broadly in line with the cheap price - basic but functional. There are 2 exceptions - the location on a very attractive beachfront is 5 star. But unfortunately it's zero stars for the beds. It feels just like a sheet has been thrown over a slab of concrete. Still, you can doze on a beautiful beach to make up for the lost sleep. The island itself is very unspoilt and tranquil. And the islanders are incredibly friendly and welcoming.
