Located in Ararat, less than 1 km from J Ward Museum, Ararat Colonial Lodge Motel provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. This 3-star motel offers luggage storage space. We stayed here on a Saturday night because we were doing one of the local ghost tours in town. They were currently in the middle of a renovation when we stayed, but that didn’t bother us. We were in a newly renovated room and it was really good. Nicely done, great bathroom, good amenities and the service was good too. The location is great because it’s a two minute walk from the main street with good local shops and restaurants. I would recommend staying here if you need somewhere in Ararat.

Situated just less than 1 km from J Ward Museum, Acacia Caravan Park & Holiday Units provides accommodation in Ararat with access to an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, as well as a shared kitchen. Our room was close to the lovely swimming pool, especially welcome on a very hot day. A small table and two chairs on the balcony. In the kitchen it was handy to have a full size fridge. A microwave as well as an electric cooktop with oven are there for a longer stay. The compact bathroom featured a rain shower. Television is connected to Ballarat stations. We appreciated the park is small, owner-run and near the main part of town. When wifi access was difficult, the staff helped out with an alternative that worked perfectly. All in all a pleasant overnight stay.
