Location and Transport
Also known as ‘Natal International Airport’, São Gonçalo do Amarante is located 16 miles (25 kilometres) from the centre of Natal. The best way to get between the airport and the city is by Trampolim da Vitória bus, which runs every 25 minutes between 04:30 and 00:00. A taxi will be a bit faster and cost around BRL 63.
Nearby Hotels and Airport Facilities
If you’re looking for somewhere to stay between flights, there’s a small selection of hotels within 7 miles (12 kilometres) of the airport, but there’s only one with a shuttle service. More hotels with shuttle services can be found in the city and by the beach at Ponta Negra. Back in the terminal, you can browse its restaurants and shops, and there’s also currency exchange and ATMs.
