First off, this hotel is a hidden gem. Our tour company recommended their own suggestions and we were not pleased with them so we did our own research and I found this place. Wow! First off, it’s beautifully located right on Lake Kivu and is so relaxed and feels very safe with their own security. The room is beautiful, spacious, and has a great bathroom and patio. Moreover, the staff was outstanding and so attentive and communicative. And the food was outstanding on property. Breakfast is included so make sure to enjoy it. We also loved our dinner.

ImuHira Campsite está a 39 km de Parque Nacional de Nyungwe Forest y ofrece alojamiento con restaurante, jardín, zona de playa privada y salón de uso común. The staff was very accommodating! Food was very good. Location and lake views were beautiful, especially the sunset over the water. The cottage we stayed in was good for 2-4 people. The staff prepared a fire in the evening out on the porch for us.

Perched on a hill with a panoramic view of Nyungwe forest, this is the perfect base for exploring the surrounding national park. The pictures online don’t do this place justice! We had a wonderful stay for 2 nights here - from a delicious welcome drink on our arrival to cleaning our boots after a days hiking and hot water bottles in the beds at night, the staff were all excellent! The food was great and we were offered a choice of taking our breakfast early before chimpanzee tracking or taking it to go - normally packed hotel breakfasts are disappointing but this was one of the best - freshly prepared fruit, pizza, cookies and cakes - it was delicious and perfect after a mornings hiking! If you are coming to Nyungwe Forest National Park (which is a must if you visit Rwanda!) then you absolutely have to stay here! Thank you to all of the staff who made our time here special!
