Hotels near Engadin Airport - SMV, St. Moritz

Nice small city. Very good base for approaching the ski resort Corviglia and other, as well. Good shopping posssibilitiess. Easy to access. Despite the heavy snowing municipal services are working very well - street cleaning, bus and train connection.

The town is old and has a lot of character. Close to St.Moritz (5 min by car or train). I don't think the train goes very often. Easy access to the ski field. Kiddy slopes with magic carpet are for ski school only. Very very disappointed about this. Even when they are not using it.

St. Moritz is in a lovely location surrounded by high mountains. There are nice hiking trails and the walk around the lake is beautiful. The city is an unattractive mix of architectureal styles and trendy shops .

Pontresina is just one of many pretty villages in the upper Engadine, which is among our favourite places in Switzerland because of its elevation, climate, sights and attractions. It is not as touristy and overbuilt as St Moritz, yet has all the amenities to make for a pleasant stay: choice of accommodations and restaurants, coffee shops, retail, guides and outfitters, etc. It is centrally located with easy access to the valleys of Pushlav, Bergell or the lower Engadine by car or public transport. A great place for those who love nature, mountains, beautiful scenery, amazing outings by rail or post bus, superb fall colours, hiking and mountaineering in summer or skiing in winter. Numerous chairlifts, cable cars and mountain railways in the region offer easy access to spectacular views of the southern alps.

Great place to stay if you are visiting St Moritz. If you are staying in St Moritz Samedan is a great option because it’s cheaper, only 7 minutes away by train and many hotels are just a short walk from the railway station unlike in St Moritz where you will have to take a bus or a taxi if you have luggage to get to the hotel

This quaint old village, with a stupendously picturesque medieval church rising on a wooded hillock above the nearby fields, is easy to miss as it is (a) by-passed by the main road and (b) the cheaper accommodation is on the outskirts.
