Perfect location. Just a short walk to gorgeous beaches, wonderful restaurants and a long boardwalk that hugs the coastline. The area is calm, away from the crowds that you normally find in the ‘resort’ areas of Lanzarote. So happy we stayed in Playa Honda.
As for the accommodations, we absolutely loved casa Orillia! Very clean, well equipped, comfortable, great shower…it had everything we needed. Spent lots of time on the beautiful veranda. Some airplane traffic but it was no bother at all. Didn’t hear a thing once inside the apartment. Our host was the best!

Absolutely super apartment. Clean, spacious and well equipped. Playa Honda is a lovely area, residential rather than tourist, so far less shops and restaurants than neighbouring resorts with a lovely beach. Easy bus transfer from airport (€1.40) with a 10 minute €10 taxi ride back. We were cycling, Playa Honda has a great (uphill) access up to the interior of the island.

For Me and My Parent accomodation was perfect. We are looking for place a bit away from holiday busy areas so this was spot on. Good distance to few local restaurants with AMAZING food and lovely local people! Apartment next to airport so some times can be loud but wasn't problem for us at all. Good location almost middle of island make it easy to get to any point of Lanzarote if You have car its 30-40 minutes to any place on Island. Shopping center, supermarket, pharmacy in close proximity. Beautiful Playa Honda beach with good restaurants! Apartment had everything we needed. Quiet neighborhood.

A cosy, yet spacious house. Very clean and has everything you would need.
Close to the beach, shops, nearby parks for children and has a big shopping centre 10 mins walk away.
The host is lovely, very welcoming and accommodating.
I recommend this place to everyone as I will definitely be staying here again on future visits 😊

New city suburb nearby airport and sea. Bars/restaurants nearby, shopping center 5 mins walk away. Quite, except the airplanes - but airport is not operated during the night (10pm-7am), so it is OK. Promenade by the sea with bars/restaurants too. Nearby airport so it is possible to walk to the airport and watch airplanes starting/landing.
Some streets are one way only, so GPS navigation is good idea. There are bus stops around, so it is easy to get to Arrecrife.
Recommended to get car from rental company and travel around the island.

It has amazing views of the sea and Playa Honda which is about a 30 minutes walk away or a 10 minute drive.

Easy to get to from the airport, only a short walking distance from the shops and beach.

There's nothing really to Masdache itself (no shops etc). There are many wineries nearby, and the closest main town is about 10mins away. It's a good base for day trips etc. You definately need a car though.

A small town with plenty of people around using the facilities for their daily life. Not a lot of choice of places to eat but enough the fakily run Spanish Taverna was amazing this I would recommend the best value ever and so friendly. Shut on a Sunday so you are warned lol!!!

Flat walking wherever you go, in either direction along the endless seafront paved pathways. Town has lots of facilities and extends to small commercial estate through an underpass to larger shopping facilities as well. Lots of catered establishments for a variety of dining and drinking experiences as well as basic health and welfare for everyone. Beaches are wonderful sand and blue sea at all times. Buses are frequent and offer both directions to/from airport as well as capital or south on island. Plenty of on-street parking that is completely free at all times to park a hire car safely. Feels safe for single female to walk alone even at night.

Guime is a five minute drive from the airport - it is a village on the hillside above the airport and Playa Honda. It has a village shop and one bar. Buses pass through every 1.5 hours or so. It is extremely quiet - it is not directly on the flight path. The only sounds were usually dogs barking in the distance and a cockerel somewhere or other. There is very little through traffic and only a couple of minutes from San Bartolome, walkable in about an hour at a relaxed pace. there is a nice Pizzaria in San Bartolome as well as a number of shops.

We were visiting our son studying in Arrecife so our situation is a bit different. If I went to Lanzarote as a "tourist" I would certainly avoid Puerto del Carmen and the touristy parts and would rather stay somewhere else. But I absolutely understand if somebody likes the amenities offered by PdC as it is central and much nicer than the tourist hell in for example Tenerife's south.

Cleanliness of the duvet they should never happen stained with bloods. We are very conscious of the very clean so we stripped all beds and put them in the laundry and to find that there was blood stains on our duvet cover was absolutely disgraceful, and if I don’t hear back from Booking .com with some sort of compensation, I will put this on TripAdvisor .

Playa Honda is quiet, and more residential, full of lovely locals.... beautiful walks along the beach front, easy access to shops, buses, restaurants etc... not a lot of tourists, so you can appreciate the culture more. Just love it. We enjoy walking, so a nice 40 minute walk takes you into Arrecife, or you can get a bus into Costa Teguise or Matagorda, hire a bike and cycle along the path both ways.... La Opera, Goliath's, Bechamell restaurants are lovely, good prices and lots of choice. It really is a piece of heaven on earth in Playa Honda.
