We enjoyed the vermouth museum and its restaurant, we were able to visit a house whose architecture was in perfect condition also an old psychiatric hospital of the same era and built by the same local architect.
The younger members of our party enjoyed the shopping. It is s quaint town.

Friendly staff on reception. Easy check in and check out. Communication via hotel on WhatsApp before my arrival which meant I could check in late at night due to my flight arriving late in the evening. Shower gel and a bottle of water were provided in the room which was a nice surprise for a budget hotel. Perfect for what I needed - a stopover before moving to my next location.

La Pineda offers lovely views on a huge harbour.
La Pineda offers lovely views on a huge harbour. Sorry for the irony. Furthermore it's quite a tacky place with lots of cheap, lousy shops. The restaurants were quite good, although there aren't many of them that look nice as well. Currently they are remodelling the boardwalk, so that's a downside as well.
The beaches are lovely though! Nice sandy, wide beaches.

Beautiful, well kept, clean and tidy.
Beautiful, well kept, clean and tidy. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Though we didn't access the entertainment there was clearly plenty to do down on the beach, massive inflatable course and parasailing etc. Prices were very reasonable even on the front and didn't feel like we overpaid for anything, except maybe pick and mix sweets but that's to be expected.
The transport system was exceptional, with buses ever 20 mins at great prices.

Interesting small city - we like small cities - with lots to see, a nice vibe and great restaurant/cafe/bar options. A very Spanish feel, which was great. The old town is delightful. We also did day trips to Reus and Cambrils, both worth visiting.

Nice traditional small spanish city, worth visiting in one day. There are only 5 Gaudi spots so stating to be the Gaudi city is a bit overrated. Still, the modernista buildings are well kept and really nice.

Lovely place to stay, especially couples, very comfy & clean, fabulous food (half board). Direct access to beach which was great. Sea view balcony was lovely. Nice pool for lounging also. La Pineda is very clean, safe area. Plenty of shops to browse through with restaurants & bars to sample also. Very close to Salou & Tarragona with regular buses to both towns from outside hotel.

Fantastic place for people with young children, as we are in our 60s ,we would prefer costa del sol, as there would be alot more entertainment for people of our age . We didn't have a favourite place, as we tried somewhere different every day.

Loved it!
Loved it! In some ways, a typical Spanish city but the Catalunya culture was evident all around as was the uniqueness of Tarragona history and the way the Roman and medieval timelines are interwoven with the modern day.
Very walkable city with everything easily accessible.
Super family friendly with plenty to do for younger kids and teens and still a really afforable place to spend time.

Reus is a very charming, unspoilt, laid-back Spanish city in the Catalan region. It really is for those who want to see Spain how it was before tourism changed things in so many other cities. It’s narrow, cobbled, uncrowded streets that wind their way in all directions really are a pleasure to walk. It has plenty of bars and restaurants to give everybody a good selection and choice, but all in a very relaxing atmosphere. Reus is Spain as it was, not how most of it city's are now.
