A good night sleep for a stop-over, good price, good breakfast, comfy bed, no traffic. A small fridge in the room to keep your drinks/food cold. Good preassure in the shower, otherwise the bathroom was out of date.

Not a big city, but the city centre is compact, everything can be found within walking distances. All the necessary services, a shopping centre, train station, airport and other services. Also a very nice beach outside the city centre.
Would need more accommodation and for fair prices, right now not enough capacity and hotels are quite expensive.

We stayed there 4 nights.
We stayed there 4 nights. It was a good location for days trips.
The room was so quiet. We had number 7 on the end,so we enjoyed large windows looking out to beautiful flower fields and a patio.
Breakfast was very good. Many choices. The bird educational room was beyond amazing.
I would recommend this place for an off the beaten path bit of paradise.

Everything is super easy to reach by bicycle.
Everything is super easy to reach by bicycle. The centre of Oulu is far from ideal for inline skates due to the amount of cobbled streets. However, skating longer distances outside the very centre of the city works much better. There are also many improvement actions for cycling and walking paths during the summer 2024 which makes skating during the upgrades at times tricky. There aren't too many museums to visit - some are under renovation.
