Set 15 minutes’ walk from the town centre of Ilulissat, HOTEL SØMA Ilulissat has spectacular views of the world famous Ilulissat Icefjord. Where do I start? Amazing views of the ice fjords from your room to such caring hotel hosts who pick you up and drop you off at the airport - everything here was beyond what we had expected. The room was big and so neat! Early check-in and late check-out was also handled very congenially.

Located on the UNESCO-listed Ilulissat Icefjord in western Greenland is this 4-star hotel. It provides fine dining and a free shuttle service from Ilulissat Airport, 5 minutes’ drive away. The location is incredible. It’s close to the airport, it’s a short 15min walk to town. The view of the entire Disko Bay and all the icebergs was unbelievable. All rooms have this view I believe. We had the room with an outdoor patio deck and that was really nice to have. We had to reduce our booking from 3 to 1 night and they were very helpful and flexible allowing us to change in multiple times even on the day. The breakfast was nice.
