Our room served its purpose as we needed somewhere close to the airport for our early morning flight. The parking area was full. I'm assuming most people who stay here are needing a one night stay and it's fine for that. Reception person(s) were very attentive and responsive.

We were just passing by before heading to the airport and because many of the hotels were fully booked because of the New Year celebrations, we chose to stay here before heading to the airport in the morning. This was perfect place to stay within some 15 minutes driving distance to the airport rental car returns.

It's a very beautiful city, we enjoyed walking around and seeing the architecture. With the help of Budapest Cards we were able to visit many places, including baths and a museum. I definitely recommend taking an evening cruise on the Danube. To our surprise, the prices turned out to be higher than our expectations.
We visited many restaurants, some were expensive, but some were simply amazing, for example, Paprika Jansen or Pork & Prezli, it was something delicious.
And the last warning: Take care of your wallets and pockets.

Rarely any true restaurant in Taksony (other than fast food) was open during late hours so we couldn't find a place to eat. And when we found one (Roro Falatozo) they didn't speek English. But the food was good.

Veces is an hour away from Budapest by public transport by bus and metro, but it is very good in terms of proximity to the airport. Nearby there is a central market with various shops and a Tesco, about 25 minutes on foot.

The traffic to airport was just a night-mare.
Uber car has a delay for 30 minutes and the driver was not able to communicate in English. The price for the journey to airport was twice than it was declared before.

Its a nice quite place.
Its a nice quite place. Little bit away from the bus connections that's good if you want peace and quite. Good to spent night to catch a flight next day. It will be great if a shuttle service available to and from airport. Taxi normally cost 10 Euros each way.
For amenities there is a small shop nearby and you can get to LIDL, Tesco etc. by 15mins walk. There was a local bakery on the main road which has bake fresh breads and coffee.

Interesting city and good for Christmas markets. With VAT at 27% things were higher priced than expected. Good that all public transport is free to over 65's. Building are amazing and well lit up at night. Even the trams had fairy lights all over them! A night boat ride is the best way to see all the buildings. Excellent choice for Christmas trip. Weather was very foggy but that did not stop exploration on foot. Temp was 8c top. Traffic is some of the worst I have seen in a city and walking was faster than Taxi in some cases. Trams and Metro are faster. I recommend getting a map of the public transport as Google maps did not perform well with all the tall buildings
