the rooms were beautiful, i really liked the vintage furniture. everything was clean. the beach is just a few steps away. the hosts were very nice, they answered all our questions, gave us some tips on what to do.. i would definitely return and i hope i will one day. parking is guaranteed.

There is nothing to see, just Balaton lake.

There is nothing to see, just Balaton lake. But, for us that was the reason to come since we wanted to avoid any outside activities. Just wanted to do be in the hotel and enjoy in SPA! Will come back for sure!

We didn't get to swim in the spa and lake, nor use the spa...

We didn't get to swim in the spa and lake, nor use the spa therapy. We believe it is exceptional, and we will come back next time for a longer stay. A walk around the lake is an exceptional experience, beautiful walking paths.

I visited and stayed 3 nights in this small village in late...

I visited and stayed 3 nights in this small village in late May, so place seems to me quiet and unactive. I did not see any shop or restorant in vicinity (at least in latter hours). I rode a bicycle for two days arond Balaton lake, making a full cycle. That was really wonderful. There's a lot of crowded, fancy and expensive places around the lake, but I stayd in Baltonbereny (in a modern app) for tranquility and acceptable price. There's a lot of prettier villages around, but for a purpose I been there, Balatonbereny is just right.

Diási Játékstrand beach is an excellent place for the family...

Diási Játékstrand beach is an excellent place for the family with equipment for various sports, a large children's playground and sand. In Gyenesdias you can find everything you need for your vacation. There is a train station in the village and a port nearby. There are cycle paths all around Lake Balaton, so you can plan a lot of trips there. Trip tip: by train to Tapolca and back by bike via Szigliget Castle.

The ideal place for golfers, lovers of thermal baths, spas and wellness, and good food and wine. Zala Springs is ranked the no.1 golf course in Hungary and is literary over the road. The other two interesting courses are in a range of 90 min driving.

Keszthely is well worth the trip.

Keszthely is well worth the trip. It has an historical town centre, more than one beach, a stately home with interesting museums including a fabulous model railway facility and the beautiful gardens are free to stroll through or sit on one of the many available benches. There were plenty of eating places, which are reasonably priced and the area is well serviced by buses and trains.

Quiet small town, very clean and well presented, plenty of parks, flower beds and central object - great thermal warm lake. We did not find ANY supermarket though... Lol. Only small shops to buy wine and chocolates.

Great location for older turists who would like to avoid big...

Great location for older turists who would like to avoid big crowds of drunk, loud people and screaming children and spend some time in the vicinity of Balaton in a silent and green area. We loved this place.

A nice and a bit crowded touristic town.

A nice and a bit crowded touristic town. It offers lots of restaurants - european and local cuisine, including big fast food names - McDonalds, KFC. Nice beaches to enjoy Balaton, different small and big shops to get anything you neeed during your stay.

This is a tourist town, but not as crowded as those on the south of the lake. It is advertised as a medieveal town but there was little sign of this. However, it was a pleasant place to be with good beches, and the restaurants were OK if you chose carefully.
