Location and Transport
Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is located in Shamshabad, 24 miles (38 kilometres) from Hyderabad. A taxi between the city and the airport will take about an hour and cost INR 400–500. The Pushpak - Airport Liner takes a little longer and runs hourly between 04:00 and 23:00 (with more services offered during the afternoon).

Travellers who need a place to stay between catching flights can choose from a few options located within 4 miles (just over 5 kilometres), which are connected to the terminal by shuttle bus. Inside the airport, there are lots of facilities to help pass the time between check-in and takeoff, such as shops and restaurants, including eateries serving up local dishes.
